Dear all

does anyone know if the fabulous Claudia has a website?

Would love it she has!

On a different note so pleased that the X Factor didn't lure either Claudia or Tess over - they can have O'Leary - welcome to him!!!

Don't know re website (have you Googled her?) but (bit of a broken record with me) she writes in The Independent every Wednesday - this week she wrote about her 'argument' with her husband about The Fringe! Almost worth buying the Indep for on a Wednesday - very funny

am a loyal Indy reader - the best paper around - love her artictles - would love it if she penned a novel

Slinky just read the "Fringe" discussion glad the fringe is staying, the fringe rules!

em, I don't know - she is an attractive lady and I think the fringe hides that - saw pictures of her without it and preferred it! Mind you she has such a cracking personality she can wear whatever she wants!

she's ace and the sort of person you want to have a night out with!

absolutely I know I am in minority but I really like Tess -my hubby cannot bear her - but I think she seems nice though not as a witty or bright as the fringe

I spent all of the last series trying to decide I some days I thought she was ok other days I couldn't stand her.

I think I finally decided she was nice but dim

Dippydozy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She has obviously opted for the middle of the road style of presenting - she did annoy me a couple of times but nothing too bad e.g when she asked Mark and Karen if them being the favourites was proving too much pressure which is what you don't want to hear when you haven't done your best dance (their rumba ) also I read that she agreed with Emma (apparently they are mates) to ask Brendon about his negative vibe about the judges' having favourites which wasn't fair on a live show - I thought

The winding up of Brendan is what annoyed me, she had no right to do that and it was unprofessional

Brendan had valid points and her siding with Emma left a bit of a bad taste

I agree - am not keen on him but he didn't deserve that - Emma knew that her appearance would attract the most attention what she didn't anticipate was that other contestants were as much admired (eventually more so) Tess was naughty doing that

I like Tess and dislike Brendan and so was rather amused when she had that dig at him. To me, he comes across as just a big girls blouse throwing the occasional hissy fit for the cameras.

I found it a little incongruous that having argued in week 4 that the judges were blatantly overmarking, and at the same time implying that Emma was a beneficiary of their generosity, he subsequently spends the remaining weeks of the competition going on about how great her dancing was and that he was supporting her all the way.

I agree - I didn't understand his change of stance either - the infamous night when he went round storming and using foul language -I was embarrased for him - whilst he had a point - he totally went over the top - he knows how to get attention I guess!!!!!

Oo, got that on in the kitchen - all for Dermot earlier

Bit miffed with Claudia in this week's Indep. She was writing about being a convert to ski-ing hols. Mentioned the new baby in the first para, no mention of baby or child in later paras when swooshing down slopes and making merry with pals. Cos they were on hol on their tods, children all at home with the Nanny. Must stop being bitter, resentful person just cos hate skiing and never had opportunity (or inclination) to leave children with Nanny and go off on hol

However, Claudia is still pretty cool

Exactly! One of the 'youngsters' at work was saying she didn't like Lily cos she was such a 'chav' - had to explain that being brought up near the Hampstead set and going to private school, with family friends throughout the arts and music scene, did not actually make for much of a chav!

Agree with you re Dara and Claudia's radio talents Claudia (daughter of primo journalist Eve Pollard) is married to Matthew Freud's prime PR man Kris someone, and MF is married to Elisabeth Murdoch, daughter of Rupert and so it goes on ...... No wonder they can all afford skiing and Nannies. I'm not bitter And Claudia's still great

em, SlinkyMalinky, not liking the link to Murdoch -em not liking it at all

She inhabits a different world most media types do - I don't think she has sold her soul yet (X Factor/American X factor blah blah)

Have a nice weekend

And I forgot the bit about Matthew F being Emma F's bro - she's partner of Richard Curtis. Powerful group of 'friends and family' going on there! As you say, the very different universe of media types She's still a Good Gel tho' - funny, clever and just a bit different (If you think that until recently one of the most high profile female 'journalists/broadcasters' of the Jewish persuasion was Vanessa Feltz - give me lovely Claudia any day!)

Sun shining, no overhang from last night's boozing, lazing in the garden, with no onerous duties to perform until cooking 'Easter Meal' tomorrow - should be a lovely weekend. Hope everyone else is having a good un as well

Just a quick note: Claudia and Dara will be back on Radio2 this afternoon at 4pm. If you didn't hear them last time - I recommend you give it a try - both as daft (and funny) as each other

Hope everyone has a lovely day
