Ok,
So I think I may have broken my phone properly.
Its a Motorola KRZR K1
I had it connected to the computer through the USB port.
Got a text message whilst it was connected.
Read it,
Typed a reply
and pressed send.
This is when the phone cut off
Screen went white and wouldnt go off
Now it constantly flashes White, then off then White then off.
The outside screen is Black, then White, then says T-Mobile over and over and over again.
It won't switch off.
I took it out of the computer
Still it isn't working.
I'm going to take it to a shop if I can't sort it myself
Just thought I would ask on here to see if anyone had any idea.
Please reply quick as, if you have any idea.
Thanks
Finglonga

I woudn't have thought that would affect the phone as I read and reply to texts when my phone is connected to my PC. I'm using a Nokia 6230i.

You didnt flash the firmware did you?
I would try fingalonga's suggestion and remove the battery for a few minutes.

Yeah had it out for ages.
Tried again.
Had everything out, battery sim, memory card the lot
then tried again
Usually sending messages doesn't affect it but just as soon as I pressed Send it went off.
Pretty Pissed off with it though because its been such a good phone up to now and I've been so proud that even though i have had it for like 3 and a half months I still haven't dropped it. Trust it to break inside when I am finally properly careful with a phone lawl.
Hopefully just leaving it for a few days might sort it out.
I was hoping there would be a reset on it somewhere but can't see one and wouldn't dare taking any part of it out except battery.

Why dont you take it back to point of purchase and tell them its broke, if youve not done anything wrong then its a fault with the handset.

Motorolas don't use SEUS, they're not Sony Ericssons.

Taking it back to place of purchase is the best bet I'd say.

Thanks for the hints.

Had the battery out for a few hours now.
If it still doesn't work before I go to bed tonight I'll be taking it back in the morning.

Been reading through the manual making sure it didn't say anything about sending messages when connected to the computer to make sure it wasn't my fault lol.

I'm on T-Mobile, anyone know if you get charged for asking them to fix the phone? How much?

it will have at least 12 months warrenty (some mans have 24) so you wont get charged but you may have to be without it for a bit
some cpw have on site repairs and if it just needs a reflash then it should be done quick

What does reflash mean please?

The phone has a firmware version built in, call it the operating system. A bit like Windows XP is for the PC, well mobiles have an operating system known as the firmware. It can be updated - doing this is known as "flashing".

Ah Ok thanks.
They really should actually teach a bit about Mobile Phone technology in Schools. Just this thread has made me think that, as part of computing would be much more interesting than what I went through last year for my advanced Higher anyway.
