If a call isnt hung up?

Hey

I checked my Flext allowences yesterday and had about £80 left... then later at midnight I made a 2 hour call. I cheked my allowence info this am and says i have nothing left and £25 worth of unbilled calls!!!

I contacted T-Mobile and after gettin a call back an hour later they said that the call didnt disconnect! i checked my call duration and it said 11 hours of calls made this month (reset it every allownce aniversery)! 11 hours @ 20p is about £130? which as i checked last night works out right...

I think it was a system fault with t-mobile, but blamed me!!! If it was my fault and i didnt hang up, surely they wouldnt credit me £80 back???

Normally on mobiles when one person hangs up it beeps 3 times on the other phone and disconnects.

Yeh, but i think i did hang up.. im going to ask the person i called.. see if she knows... but as i said, surely if i didnt hang up then they wouldnt credit my account??? they'd blame me and not compensate me..?

If you hung up she would have be disconnected and if she hung up you would have been disconnected the call would not have stayed connected either way.

yeh... so surely if that wasnt the case.. and neither of us hung up, t-mobile wouldnt offer a credit for your own fault??? i do think its there fault... and they are just blaming me but crediting my account to soften the blow?

If neither person hung up the call would've stayed connected and T-Mobile won't refund you for something that isn't their fault. No network would.

wel im not going too as they are crediting me £80 wich is all my line rental and unbilled calls! why would they credit me if there saying its my fault?

If you ring a landline from a mobile and the person on the other end hangs up, you are still connected until you hang up.

What phone have you got?

Nokia 6280.. they asked what network she was on.. the initial of what the contact is on my phone and whether its stored to my sim card or phone memory... i explained that my call duration log hadnt changed. it still worked out near enough as the last time i cheked what id used my allownces on.

It might be one of those unexplained mysteries, it shows t-mobile are unsure as to who's fault it is. At least you have got your money back.

Don't like the sound of the phone though

Hmm... Are you sure your allowances aren't on a 00:00 (midnight) to 23:59 sort of thing?

Perhaps you called your friend just before 00:00 and as the new day starts at midnight you were charged? Some companies operate on that sort of timescale.

Yeah I just wondered if this call was logged as being x amount of hours on your handset, but obviously it depends how many dialed numbers your phone stores, how many calls you've made and how long it is since the 'incident'!

it was last night this happend... and i worked out the amounbt of calls made to what my allowence was and its shwing as the correct amount (with the offical 2 hour call) taken off.. anyway lets stop talkin about this now
