.........with "cheesey" being the operative word! Why do people plump for the same old crap why not try something instantly recognisable so people will take to the floor but not so lame as the one's you listed. I would reccommend "you're gorgeous" by Babybird, "creep" by Radiohead, "babe" by Styx or "tongue" by REM!

Reminds me of being young when clubs ued to have a 'slowy' at the end of the night. The club we went to used to always play Love Wont Let Me Wait by Major Harris as the last song every Saturday.
As an old bird clubber up til about 6-7 years ago when I realised I was far too old for clubbing, the Dj we followed Chris Hill always played Why Cant We Be Lovers by Lamont Dozier. That was always a bit of a Caister classic. (Really aged myself there) |

A quick scan through the MP3 collection and I suggest:
James - She's A Star Spice Girls - 2 become 1 Toploader - Dancing in the Moonlight Divinyls - Touch Myself (although if it's like any of the cheesy student nights I've been to you'll probably have played it about 10 times already that night Bon Jovi- Living on a Prayer but the same applies as above for this one By the way I might add I didn't choose to download all of these songs ![]() They just appeared on my hard drive hehe |

"My Sundown" by Jimmy Eat World. It's the perfect last one of the night tune, even if hardly anyone has heard it before

Originally posted by FastEddie I ended with that tonight, went down a treat and not for the first time.Green Day - Time Of Your Life Also, I've ended with: Macy Gray - I Try Catatonia - Road Rage Train - Drops of Jupiter Savage Garden - various Ben E King - Stand By Me which have all proved successful for me. A nice sing-alongy song at the end of the night is perfect because you then hear people singing it after the music has stopped and after they leave the pub/club. Very nice indeed. |

The cheesey friday night in my union always ends with Take That - Never Forget and then they play the A-Team tune after they put the lights on and throw us out the door1
On Saturday night you can guarantee that the last song will be Kylie and Jason - 'Especially for You' but 'I've had the Time of My Life' from Dirty Dancing will also be one of the last songs. All great tunes to sing along to at the end of a drunken uni night I think! |

In my clubbing days (and I'm really going back a while!) the favourite track at the Stevenage Mecca for the last dance of the night was Hey There, Lonely Girl, by Eddie Holman. If you hadn't pulled before this, it was the last chance before you went home alone!
