Sagem My-X5 Queries

Any help appreciated - I have the aforementioned phone and wld like to use snippets from a fave song or two for my ringtone.

I know how to wirelessly sync from my PC to the phone - what I need though is some software that will let me 'snip' from a song on my hard drive!!!

Can this be done, I guess so, though googling around hasn't helped!

Also - can any additional games be put into the X5?

What format are the music files on your disk? Mp3? WAV?

If they're mp3, then you could use a small, free program like "MPEG audio scissors" to extract the bit you want.

If they're in WAV format then you already have what you need to take a chunk out of the song - Sound Recorder - it comes with windoze.

You'll know that the wav files need to be at a certain bit/sampling rate for the sagem to accept them. You can also use Sound Recorder to save them in the right format.
