Philips 32pw6557
Hi
Have just installed this set..in with it hooked up to my receiver and speakers it looks/sound great. EXCEPT cant turn off the channel info that appears every time a channel is changed. My MATSUI 28" had the option to do this. It is very infuriating (probably get used to it ) but can it be turned OFF. Also as usual the manual is not very good so are their any hidden settings or ideas on the best settings. By the way for £750 it is well good... now all I need know is a buyer for the MATSUI!! Regards |

I was just about to post something similar, my problem though is with a Sony KV28WSU, and it's One For All 3 remote, I've managed to press a combination of buttons on the Uni remote when picking it up, and hey presto it's left me with the channel info on all the time.
Anyone know how I can program a button on the Uni remote to deactivate the bloody channel number? Sorry to piggy back Robin, hope you don't mind.

Hi
Also had a problem with autoswitching on analogue Engineer came..went through everything I had done ..didnt attempt to try any service menus/set fiddling. He said he hadnt a clue why auto switching wouldnt work on analogue/video but ok on digital/dvd. He rang his workshop.. no luck. Wanted to arrange to take to workshop. I said no and rang unbeatable who are collecting on mon but I will have to wait a week to get replacement. Good job I kept my trusty Matsui28" IDTV, and have a a 12 month interest free option, which by the way has more options and has no problem with autoswitching. All that effort to get the thing installed aswell. Regards |
