Hi, I have MANY text messages saved in my Nokia 6230i.
They are mainly notes, as I filled up the proper notes area and so had to save them in the Texts area.

The trouble is they won't transfer to my new Nokia 6233 so how do I copy the text messages from my Nokia 6230i to a PC as a text file or document so it is readable?

I can use some Logomanager software but that is not cheap.

Hi.

You can use Nokia PC Suite to transfer text messages from your phone to your computer. If you don't already have the software, you can download it for free on the Nokia website here:

http://www.nokia.co.uk/A4144903

Once downloaded and installed, you can connect your phone using a USB cable, Bluetooth or Infrared. Once connected, if you select the 'Messages' option from the Nokia PC Suite menu, you will see all the messages on your phone. You can then simply select and drag the messages you want to move to your computer into a folder.

Hope this helps.

I forgot to mention that it is the Nokia PC Suite software which didn't work.

What I meant was is there anything else, Nokia PC Suite doesn't allow archiving to PC, only transferring and since this is not working after several attempts, I need somethin else.

Everything apart from my most of my texts transferred, the 6233 has less internal memory so this could be the reason.

I was looking into that one, but wasn't sure if it can copy text messages to PC, in a readable format. I can't transfer it to my new phone anymore, it'll overwrite the stuff I've put in my new phone since buying it.

I didn't know how functional the demo was so thanks.

Any others?

Did you not read what I said? I didn't call you a liar, I said other software may be better. I can compare Oxygen to others and see which I prefer. Please read. Thanks.

Is what you said. I'm telling you it can. seems straightforward enough. Further, i was saying that i've looked at the limited software available for this and this is the best one.
