RGB picture too dark
Hi,
I just bought a gamester advanced scart cable for my xbox. The problem is the picture is a bit too dark, changing the TV's settings doesnt work (normal I know) and not all games allow the brightness to be changed. Is there any way to overcome this? or is it just luck-of-the-draw how bright the RGB scart is? Thanks |

Depends if your TV is 50 or 100Hz...
If it is 100 Hz, the brightness etc controls should still work. If it's a 50Hz they won't usually. |

Depends on the TV not the 100Hz/50Hz.
Mines a 50 and you can change brightness, contrast and colour but not picture sharpness. |

i know on my TV if when you have a RGB picture you can alter brightness and contrast but not colour obviously as this is set by the lead because it is RGB and therefore gives best colour anyway. Im pretty sure you should be able to alter brightness and contrast of a RGB picture on any TV

Mine definately does colour also. I much prefer it when you have control over things like this otherwise you are at the mercy of the engineer who set up the TV in the first place and I've seen plenty of set-ups where the brightness, and contrast are far too high and the colour are much too gaudy and un-natural.
