DOI Champion of Champions show!!!!
N X M

For anyone who missed it, at the end of Defrosted Kristina let slip that she was going to be rehearsing with Stefan for an upcoming Champion of Champions show. She looked really embarrassed that she'd let the cat out of the bag

A couple of questions come to mind:

1. Are we just talking UK CoC or international? Have to say it would seem a bit early to have a UK CoC show so I'm hoping the latter, a DOI with UK v Australia v Germany for example really floats my boat

2. Is that the reason why they put Kristina with the person (bless him!) who was obviously the worst skater? I mean that the producers knew that it was almost certain that she would only have one of her two UK partners to dance with in a CoC show...

Any thoughts about what you'd want from a Champion of Champions show?

there has only been one show before this so it must be with other countries competiting.

Yes poor Kristina obviously felt really embarrassed that she had said something she shouldn't have - sounds really interesting and surely must include any other DOI series over the world

Would like to see obviously Kristina and Dan (probably with Gaynor as she was the winner), Bonnie and Matt, Kyran and Frankie, Clare and Andrei

For #1, not necessarily - SCD had a 'champion of champions' show after only two seasons (three from the first, three from the second). But what with Lara and Jake from Australian DOI being on the tour, I think if it is not a purely UK one they might be involved.

And I can't really answer number 2. But someone had to skate with Steven, and Kristina's pretty small so that might be why instead of the reason you give. But I don't know, just my opinion!

An fm mentioned it on here earlier, or posted a link where it mentioned she was skating with Stefan again. I think Steven Mulhearn was winding her up there.

Doesn't Matt still skate with Bonnie for corporate events?

Im assuming Gaynor and Daniel would be involved, seeing as they won last year.

You mean Kyran and Melanie?
I've got to get used to Melanie as a Kristina substitute now, don't take her away yet!

I took it to be that she was training Stefan for the UK Tour but maybe not.

My immediate thought was that it's be those appearing on the tour. Maybe as a practice for the tour itself. So Lisa, Kyran, Claire and Duncan from this series; Bonnie and Stefan from series 1 and Jake and Lara from DOI Aus.

Not quite a Challenge of Champions if Gaynor isn't involved, but she's probably got other commitments.

I wonder who Matt will partner on the tour then seeing as both Bonnie and Lara Bingle are in the tour and he partnered both of them

Perhaps they could do Australia vs the Uk (the Ashes on Ice!) with Natalia as the judge!

Lisa Scott Lee's pop career would be the trophy (ashes - get it!)

I was wondering that too, but other than that Kristina is skating with Stefan, I don't think anything has been confirmed yet.

Also, similar to the Matt problem, Maria partnered Jake Wall and now Duncan.

Maria is partnering Duncan on the tour - it has been mentioned in various articles.

Yeah I'd forgotten about her! Poor Matt, 3 women to choose from. I remember him saying in week 1 of the DOI Aus show that he was the luckiest man in Australia to be skating with Lara Bingle. She was pretty but didn't have the warmth of Bonnie or Lisa.

But when they put them together they wouldn't have known he was the worst skater would they? In fact as he was a performer and danced in Boyzone etc you would probably have expected him to be good at it.

I don't know whether she (Lara) had warmth but Lisa certainly hasn't from what I have seen. Very sour faced and bitter.

I think he was joint favourite before it started.
