Reported on BBC News:

Mobile phone firm Vodafone is to enable users to access and update video website YouTube via their handsets, in its third internet tie-up this week.
Following similar deals with social networking website MySpace and auction site eBay, Vodafone customers will now be able to view and add videos.

The YouTube service will initially be available to Vodafone's UK customers before spreading to other countries.

Adding such interest services allows mobile phone firms to boost revenues.

Vodafone is Europe's largest mobile phone company, while YouTube was bought by search engine giant Google for $1.65bn (£883m) in October last year.

Comment: Hope they review the cost of their data so one can actually afford to view them!

I think they are going to offer something more affordable in March but as with everything there is a downside and that is Vodafone Live!will no longer be free.

Most folks probably would'nt mind paying a flat fee for a package like T-Mobile's Web'N'Walk... that looks to be what Vodafone are proposing to offer.

I hope this isn;t the case as almost all phones sold with Vodafone branding have the LIVE button baddly sited so you often press it by mistake

My W850i is always on the Vodafone Live homepage when i take the phone out of my pocket. I woke up this morning to find it had been on the music page since last night as well, I know I'd get charged for data usage and not time but who knows how many pages I'd been to first. I'd hate to think how much this would rack up my bill for unknowing connections.

Is this completely true? Even if you watch a video stream that you havent purchased such as live cricket on the homepage?

I've been charged before. I've never gone on to VF live other than by pressing that button on my phone by accident.

There did used to be a issue with some older Vodafone Sim cards where people would be charged for Browsing Vodafone Live after Vodafone declared it free my old Motorola suffered with it for a bit.

I think the problem was people accessing VLive throught the internet APN rather than the WAP one. but if you start on Vlive then you will be warned before you get charged.
