panasonic dmes 10 probs playing disks

I have recenlty got some cheap blank dvds dvr-r (dvd shirt or something)
I did a windows media slideshow and it wont play on The DMRES yet it will play on 3 other dvd players in the house and my pc fine. its says cant read disk, I also copied a dvd and that is also fine on the other dvds but will not play on the DMRES 10. any ideas?

Did you finalize the disc, as it would have been in a different format if compiled on a pc.

yes I did and as I say it works fine on 3 other dvd players in the hosue all different models, and I have tried a couple of disks, So I get the feeling it wont play any of this make of disk.. which Is a pain!

My panny E55 is a bit sensitive to brand, too. I can use Imation or Intenso (at the cheaper end of the market) without issue. I did have a whole batch of Verbatim's that would just NOT finalise! Gave them to my son and he says they're great on his PC.

Thats a lot of discs to be left with. You could always store your music collection on them, I've got 4 full of mp3 which equates to goodness only know how many discs that is.
