Hi people

Im on Vodafone and been on an 18month Contract and want to go back to PAYG. Tomorrow is exactly 17months and i need to give them 1months notice. What do i need to write on the letter to them? I want to be put back on Vodafone PAYG so im guessing i need to write that too?

just say to them you want to close your contract with them and pay out this motnhs bill and the remaining months line rental, end of the day its your contract and if you want to cancel your within your rights to do it over the phone, I think the letter was a tactic to put you off cancelling.

Silly you more like. All you had to do was ask "what do I write in the letter" whilst you were on the phone.

Is it really so hard to write:
'I want to cancel my contract and change to pay as you go.'

actually the terms and agreements of the contract stiuplate that you have to give 30 days written notice to cancel the contract. they will not let you cancel over the phone

Can't you just email them? I did that for my husband with o2.

In fact i very rarely ring mobile customer services and just email queries.

I just wrote to them (not posted it yet) saying basically to cancel my contract and migrate my number back to VF PAYG. Then gave them my details, name, address, landline number, acc number + mobile number and going to post it tomorrow. They wont let me cancel it over the phone + by email it would still take a few days for a responce so post is prolly 2/3days quicker

Yes you just need to write to them, i have strangely enough sent off my letter for my contract to be cancelled today!

You just need to say that you have completed the contract and give them an excuse E.G. going with a provider to include broadband, thats what i said lol so you would like it to be cancelled,

When the month you notified them for is up they will text you asking if you would like to be switched to PAYG(my sister told me this, she was on the same deal as me)

Hope this helps.
