NME 99% of the time always gets the Reading festival headliners right...

This year it says

Fri:
Razorlight

Sat:
Smashing Pumpkins

Sun:
Red Hot Chili Peppers

DAMN! Apart of me really believed Rage Against the Machine would play!

Other bands to be playin Kasabian, Ian Brown, Interpol, The View, The Gossip, Bloc party... and maybe a few more I cant remember.

Not a bad lineup by any means, but this is probably the first year there isnt a bad im desperate to see.
I would be extactic bout the Chilis playing if I hadnt seen them play twice in June/July on their tour!
But no doubt the whole festival atmosphere will make their performance soo much better as the crowd was crap when I saw them!

Might have to get into the Smashing Pumpkins quickly too so I can appreciate the fact that im watching them!

Im excited about seein Kasabian again though, and Interpol should be good!

Fingers crossed for Sonic Youth to be added!!!

Cannot wait to see the Smashing Pumpkins! Really ooking forward to the Summer. Will probably just get a day ticket, won't miss Glastonbury for the world and can't afford 2 full festivals!

"Siamese Dream" and "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness" are two must-have albums

Sooooo excited about Smashing Pumpkins. One of those bands I always hoped to one day see live.

Soooo not excited about Razorlight. Totally bored with them so hopefully be something better on one of the other stages, maybe Ian Brown, now, that would be good.

Saw The Chili peppers last years, so not really botherd about seeing them again, but will probably be good as a sunday finale.

I hope Evanescence get added to the bill, possibly on the rock day at Leeds(Friday)I don't care for the line up in general,RHCP will be cool though.

Damn right Sonic Youth better be added for that I would kill, except there's probably little chance of me going to Reading and I wouldn't want to miss a Sonic Youth performance How anyone can beat Pearl Jam last year I don't know, but I'd love to see someone try. Pumpkins I don't like much, Peppers are gradually going downhill IMO and seem to have tour dates everywhere, Razorlight I'm not too bothered about as I'm not a fan.

What I've been waiting for is the ATP festivals of this year, the ones I can get into that is. They seem to be lacking the good bands of last years festivals though, which I sadly wasn't able to go to for various reasons. Mudhoney + Sonic Youth + Melvins + Meat Puppets would be nice in my tour calendar for this year. And if Pearl Jam could make an extra London date on a weekend for me, rather than during my exams, would be much appreciated thanks lol

Razorlight? They've had two albums and about 4 hits, mais oui? o_0

The Pumpkins... well, standard, anyone with ears likes them, because they are GODS.

RHCP stopped being good in 1999, so I won't be seeing them this year [though I understand the reasoning behind their slot].

If Rage end up playing, my gusset will most definitely become moist and I don't care who knows!
