Lily Allen has hit out Madonna and many other people but now someone has hit out at her.

The Iceland Singer slams Lily Allen in a Japan Magazine by branding Lily Allen's music and lyrics something a ten year old could write.

Very harsh word from Bjork on Lily Allen.

Bjork's right, and she has more talent and creativity in her little finger than Lily Allen.

How dare she slam Madonna - She's fantastic and for Lily Alllen to criticize a huge icon like her is a big No-No in my book.
Madonna has been around a lot longer than lily will EVER be. She needs to show a little respect.

Harsh, but fair

Lily Allen is totally overhyped. I couldn't understand why they kept advertising that totally naive and substaceless pap that she writes on the TV last year.

Bjork, on the other hand, has real talent and actually verstility.

Lily is an overhyped big no-no-body. I have no idea why she is so popular

I would rank her about the same as the Pipkins (of 1969 "Gimme that Ding" fame...)

I've said before that I think Lily Allen's songs resemble nursery rhymes so I totally agree with Bjork.

I think you'll find the diabolical one here is Lily.
At least Bjork is unique and talented.

Give it a couple of years... I wouldn't be surprised if Lily is working as a checkout operator at Sainsbury's.

I don't give a fiddlers about Lily either way, but I'd listen to almost anything before Bjork!

I love Bjork and Lily, but comparing them is dumb, one is a pop artist, the other works in the avant garde, both are exceptionally good in their chosen field.

As for Lily writing "simple" songs. Didn't the Beatles write simple songs? Kurt Cobain's songwriting was very nursery rhyme-like IMO. Is simple such a bad thing? Should we all start listening to seventies prog?? Sounds great

I cant believe you had the nerve to slag of Amy Winehouse yesterday for using the occasional swear word, when you worship the queen of "lets court some controversy to make a quick buck" Madonna.

So when Amy swears on a song its her "obvious lack of vocabulary", but when Madge does it thats fine because she's been out since the 50's?

Oh purleease. Madonna is a 1000x more intelligent than Any Winehouse.

...and believe it or not she didn't start out in music swearing her t!ts off. I've been a fan since 83...way before her "Erotica" years.
I think Amy doing it so early on in her career seriously shows her lack of creativity and how limited her vocab is.

When Madonna's expletives came along I hated it but she more than made up for it with her captivating performances and creativity.
Madonna is more than a "lets court some controversy to make a quick buck".. She does it because she has something to say to the public.
The messages within her lyrics/perormances touch her listeners/audience with her political views.

There's hundreds of different ways to create controversy than repeatedly saying the **** word.

What captivates me about her is how creative she is.
She doesn't just do an "Amy" and just stand on stage in front of a mic and belt out a song. Watching her on stage is like watching a movie. Every song is recreated. The atmosphere, the stage...everything changes dramatically. If she swears I simply ignore it and move on and wait for her to captivate me yet again.
Sure, she swears, I don't like it but what can I do?
She doesn't need to do it to get my attention, she's done enough since 1983.

Incase you didn't already know Madonna has always had a huge fanbase...so whether or not she appeals to the younger generation really doesn't matter. She will ALWAYS sell. She's made her mark...made her millions, theres not much else for her to do.

Björk is amazing. Lily Alen is just one of those "things" who'll fade out soon.

Her songs seem to get weaker and weaker, so I can't wait to wave bye to her.

I love that French and Saunders piss take, though
