Running the risk of getting attacked by some people on this thread I will give my opinion. It is a flawed concept as it has been pointed out. There have been lots of threads like this where all that happens is voting for favourites.
Paul Killick is the top at Latin but he doesnt do ballroom at all, as was obvious from the series 1. Anton is a lovely ballroom dancer ( however never a champion, only ever a finalist) but is Latin is abysmal. Darren Bennett is brilliant at Latin but again not a ballroom dancer the only time he ever does any is for SCD. Brendan is excellent at both, and Ian is good at both having been 10 dance champion, as is matthew Cutler. On that basis Ian and Matthew are best overall professionals.
The ladies more or less fall in to the same categories. Erin is a good ballroom dancer but although better than Anton at Latin, not great. Lilia is like Darren though her ballroom is usually very good. Camilla is good at both and does both all the time. karen is a brill Latin dancer but her ballroom is not good, lots of visible errors in there, Nicole seems to mirror Matthew in ability though not really seen enough of her.
You can not judge the 'best' pro by their results on SCD because of other factors, the biggest being the ability of the celeb they are working with, also the public dont neccessarily vote for the best dancer, I am also not sure what the term best pro means. Best Teacher, best dancer, best character, personality? Why is Vincent not in the list or James or Hanna or John. A non starter for me as this kind of thing has been done before many times and really is just a poll for favourites.
