There have been a lot more quality females than males in all of the series so far.

I'm most definitely not a fan of either Darren or Lilia myself, but would place them on my list purely because their dancing is better than the majority of the rest.

And as a world champion, and a better dancer, Kylie rightfully deserves to come in at 5th place, however Lilia would've come in at number 6 had we been placing further than just our top 5.

I would never vote for my 'favourites' on a poll where it is asking for the BEST dancer.

Without doubt Matt Cutler is the biggest and more qualified dancer out of them all from SCD. He's won everything and no-one else could ever come close not even Darren or Brendan. Matt's a world champion not just a uk champ like the rest of them!

I agree, he and Paul are definitely the best male dancers, both being world champions. To watch them both perform live is just !

I would agree about Matt, but how can you justify Paul when he only does Latin. He cant do Ballroom at all. His ballroom is worse that Anton's Latin by miles.

I've never seen Paul or Matthew perform any Standard so I can't really judge either of them on their overall competence in both styles, just on the way they dance in their usual discipline.

In the same respect, I can't really judge Anton on his Latin.

It's difficult with Vincent as I haven't seen him dance Standard or Latin, just Argentine Tango, and that is by far his dance, he's amazing at it.

I am sure most people on here have seen Anton's attempts at Latin! He does try to cover his lack of ability at latin with the really outrageous costume though and it is amusing.
Vincent and Flavia are I believe ten dance champions so all of their dances must be pretty good.

They are definitely well rounded, and about even in both styles I think, although just that little bit stronger in Standard.

For example, when they danced the National in 2004, they made the final only in two dances in Latin, yet in four dances in Standard.

On those criteria then , karen should be much higher than others have placed her .

Thses polls are really just a bit of fun , most of us are not experts and judge on what we see and like .

Karen is third on my list of females.

The only two I place above her are Hanna and Hazel. Hazel because she is the only professional world champion ever to have appeared on the show, Standard or Latin, and Hanna because as a lady, the impact and influence she had on Latin dancing was immense, and also because she achieved exactly the same number of world titles as Karen, except for that Hanna took two dances at Blackpool in 2002, one thing that Karen never managed herself.
