This Morning:
Kay Burley couldn't appear on the sofa because she'd fallen and was seeing the physiotherapist.
So it was Duncan & Maria and Kyran & Melanie talking to Ruth and Eammon.....whose contribution was to ask Maria "if her name was really flip-off?"
What a plonker he is!
She was so sweet and just laughed, then explained, "no, it's spelled differently, and pronounced Filippov". What's hard about that?
Melanie said she "didn't feel any pressure to follow up last week's top spot performance", but Kyran said they "didn't feel the same connection with Rawhide as last week's music."
Duncan said that "the men on the show have it much harder, as they have to lift their partners, when they're not professional skaters", but that their "female partners were the brave ones, as they have to be high up in the air in the arms of a novice, so that takes guts."
Loose Women at Lunchtime with Kyran Bracken.
What a stonking interview!!! The guy's a born entertainer!!
At the end to demonstrate he picked up a surprised Carol McGiffen and twirled her round in a spin whilst she squealed, then put her down and said "now look elegant when your dizzy!" He was explaining how it is for his partner. Great to hear him say that he absolutely loved being on the show and learning to ice skate.
He said that he'd practiced a couples of hours a day for 2 months to learn to skate, then was introduced to Melanie, and began practicing together for 4 hours a day, then once the show started, and they had to learn new routines, they train for 5 hours a day, but he was really enjoying it, and didn't mind falling, as he'd learnt to fall on the fleshy part of his body whilst playing Rugby, so was fearless in that respect, whereas the others were afraid of falling, as it's very hard, and are more nervous. He said Ulrika was a good skater but racked with nerves. And that Stephen was the best dancer, but couldn't skate!
Kyran nearly cried when Stephen got voted off last week, and described all his nervous habits with taking calms and rescue remedy.
He had the audience in stitches saying that as a former sportsman he could "rise to the big occasion".
A great interview, and lots of fun!!!! Go Kyran!!!
