Cd Players playing cd-rw
Hi
Just a quick question... My Hi-Fi plays cd-r discs but will not play a cd-rw.Is this normal? The Hi-Fi is not very old its a Panasonic Sa-pm30md if that helps. Both cds are recorded in the same way and both discs play in the car cd player but not my Hi-Fi Gav

I think only CD-Rs really work in nearly all players.... although I think some CDr's need to be finalised before some players will work... (not sure if CDRW need finalising..I don't use them)

The surface of CD-RW disks is less reflective than production CDs and CD-R disks. This is why some players cannot cope with them. I have had exerience of older PC CD drives being unable to read CD-RW disks.
