Not the most articulate bloke on the planet... sings his bro's words and peppers his own with swearing!
Slags off Robbie Williams 'drama queen' for entering re-hab, yet is propped up by his intelligent, talented and witty (to boot) bro.
His total arrogance - when he really has no high horse to climb on - is, yes, slightly attractive! Yet he DOES NOTHING... He sounds like a Camp-Manc, (although that's fine, it sounds good, unlike the terrible performance at the Brits).
I just think he's got a nerve! I like him, yet loathe him, admire him, yet think he's got nothing that requires admiring.
And yet, and yet... MASSIVE sex appeal!!
A dichotomy indeed!
Hero or villain?

Villian, definitely. Never been a fan of Oasis purely because I never liked the frontmen. They have way of making me cringe and shudder!

I know there is Robbie Williams bashing thread on here somewhere but I kinda feel sorry for the guy. Hope he manages to get through this one... Some people aren't as lucky!

I don't think robbie williams has done anything wrong! I agree.
Countless pop peeps (syc!) over the years have been there, done that...
Eminem went into rehab for pre-scription drug addiction.. didn't notice the entire planet harping on about that!!

Oasis should stop that boring old fued with Robbie.

At leasts Robbie is doing the right thing by trying to cure his additions before he ends up dead at a young age like so many other artists.

Of course Robbie going in to Rehab is going to hit the headlines, it doesn't mean he wants to be on the front pages of newspapers. It think Noel and Liam should both grow up.

So that's a villain vote then!

Robbie williams is just lookin' attention.

So close to the Brits , coincidence?.....no, he needed publicity - what with take that's big return to the brits, and his crap album flowin' down the drains.

He needs to wise up and get on with his life and get over it.

Hero.

Neither a hero nor a villain in my book. Liam isn't what I'd call a role model for anyone, but I actually agree with him that Robbie is being a big drama queen. Still, it could just all be media hype and probably Robbie's not to blame. He's just part of the huge media circus to be used and spat out as they choose, to sell records, magazines, papers, whatever they want really.

It's all just grist to the mill - money in someone's pocket. Robbie's made a lot out of this - he has to pay somehow.

Who cares when Robbie chose to go to Rehab. At least he is there getting help.

If you hear Robbie's albums (Okay I agree Rudebox and Escapolgoy aren't great), but the other albums e.g. Intensive Care and early ones then you will hear some good album tracks. By the way Intensive Care was written without Guy Chambers, incase anyone brings that up.

I think Robbie and management just choose the wrong songs to release as he always has much better songs on his albums than the ones he puts out as singles. Example of this is 'Ghosts' on Intensive Care and 'Better Man' on Sing When Your Winning.

As you can probably tell I'm a big Robbie fan and he is amazing live in concert.

Yeah on his Birthday. And your point being? (You don't need to answer I know what your point was - that he was seeking press attention). So what if he was. Leave the guy alone. He's not done anyone any harm.

i don't agree. I think Robbie is singular to Take That .. (I like both..) Odd how i'm here defending robbie - never thought I felt that strongly about it...
Liam is a plank though - but i'd have him!

Oh dear oh dear.....your opinions have lost even more credibility than ever before! No wonder you detest the Beatles.....you go for musical non-entitys like Oasis and Robbie Williams!

I don't 'go' for Mr williams at all. I do go for Oasis, way better than The Beatles every time. IMO - and, I am the best critic on the entire planet, because I critique what appeals to me, as you do you, The Beatles are nothing. I do not like them (much) I do like a few, thats it. I like what i like as you do. Oasis are raw and brilliant, i like them, The Beatles... couldn't care less if i never heard them again.

No, I can't. I like Oasis - i don't adore them. I own everything Billie Holliday has done.. I think, as being around for some considerable time, i can't be sure... but I have recordings on vinyl & cd of all her work. I am the same with The Jam and Echo and then I graze. I pick and mix. I am not dedicated (anymore) to any artistes in particular. I adore Greenday and Eminem and have seen both many times and have all recordings. But, i'm not obsessive in the least. I know what I like, that's all.

Ok....but if one was to pick The Beatles WORST 6 albums, and pick out standout tracks from those, there would be more from that lot, than the 6 albums Oasis have issued....which says a lot really. The Beatles "White Album" probably has more classic tracks than all of Oasis' albums put together....

see, that's what you think because you idolise The Beatles. I don't so i would disagree. Nothing gets me going more than (Whats the Story) Morning glory... it rates in my all time top ten tunes/lyrics combined EVER. (I like lyrics). (maybe we should 'get a room' )

Poor Robbie, it must have been a tough night for him to watch. Take That and the Gallaghers in the same room. I'm not surprised he went off to rehab rather than face them (and still keep his name in the papers).

I feel that I must stick up for the Gallaghers though. Liam is fabulous. I love Oasis - I would say that they have done 3 great albums, 2 good albums and 1 that would be considered average.

I just can not help thinking that people went off them purely because it was deemed to be suddenly 'uncool' to be an oasis fan after 'be here now'. I have spoken with many people about their music recently and most have slagged them off. What is interesting to me is that most have admitted after a good row that they have not even listened to their last 2/3 albums. How can you judge when you are determined not to like them? Their last album was great in my opinion.

Alot of people hate Oasis because they don't like Liam and Noel which I can't understand particularly in Noel's case as they are very funny and the majority of controversial quotes are firmly tongue in cheek.

As for Liam's voice being shot, I don't think so. He has never been a perfect singer anyway. He is a very charismatic frontman and he sneers at his audience yet his charmlessness is what makes him charming. I think he is brilliant.

I idolise the Beatles because they knock the socks of other groups. Having said that, i love a huge amount of other bands.

Like I said before, I used to like Oasis, and still enjoy the albums like Def Maybe and to a lesser extent Morning Glory....but after hearing Rubber Soul, Revolver and Abbey Road.....kind of puts Oasis's very simplistic music into perspective - which is why nobody outside of the UK really knows much about Oasis, where as everyone and their cat knows The Beatles.

P.S We could get a room, but you are too busy in Nigel Harmans room for me!

Sorry buddy, but its simply not the case, i've heard all 6 of their studio albums, and their b-sides.....and i must only assume that its their b-side album "Masterplan" that you can classify as their 3rd "great" album.....because the rest are horse sh*t.....

"Be Here Now" spelt the end of Oasis. It was poor, and they've not recovered since. Cool or uncool....Oasis simply are not good anymore, despite having a Beatles son as a drummer!

But Oasis ARE good... that's the point. Ok, Liam's a bit up his own.. but no more up it than Lennon was - with a lot less cred at the time, being a girly-scream louder band. Oasis are exciting - still. Particularly important considering a lot of the pap on offer now.
