I'd go for the K610 over the U400 every time. It's not quite a patch on the Fully Specced K800i but it's probably the best handset available on this PricePlan offer....

I've had no problems with my U400 and it seems very easy to use.
The menus are clear and easy to understand. The display is crisp and bright. The camera is quite good (e.g. bright light etc, but no flash) The scroll wheel can take a bit of time to get used to, but u can use it like a navigation pad if you want to anyway. All in all IMO it's pretty good |

I know 3 have a history of extending promotional periods but they seem more keen to end this one as planed on 28th Feb. I'll believe it when it happens mind, but anyone interested in the deal should sign up before 1st March. |

I'd never go back to 3 no matter how cheap. Their customer services are the worst i have ever had and their handsets are not as good as offered on other networks. You can get good deals if you look around that match this. I just got 16 months half price line rental on an 18 month price plan with O2. Got a decent handset, 600 mins, 500 texts, rollover minutes, free voicemail for £17.50 (the half price price!).

3 only have the latest 3G phones......they dont offer the LG Shine or any Samsung handsets. Have to agree their range is now much better than it was but its pretty limited when compared with whats on offer from the other networks.

If he could save £50 he could have the seriously Teen Cool W850i on that tariff.
Mind you, if he does it via the recommend a friend deal he'll get 30 quid back on his bill - thereby offsetting the handset to £20 - and so will the 3 customer whose number he puts in during the registration process. (let me know if you need a 3 customer )

(let me know if you need a 3 customer )My wife has the W850i and he thinks its pants , due to the poor cetntre navigation button and also its so uncool to have the same phone as his mummy ![]() We have contacted three , they offered the W850i for free ( waived the £49.99 charge for this phone on the £15 tariff ) the credit of £30 on his bill and £20 on her bill for recommending , they phoned back tonight , I guess desperate to sign us up and offered to increase the credit to £70. Pity he only wants the Lg u400 to replace his w550i Last edited by coopermanyorks : 13-04-2007 at 22:37. |

The LG Shine is a new 3G model recently added to 3's range and it's not available on their £15 a month VideoTalk 500 tariff. Nice handset but at £35 a month it'll have it's work cut out competing with the cool Prada LG!

The new 3G LG Shine appeared weeks after the post was made about a 'shine' model not being available on 3.
Its not an option on the £15 tariff though. Nothing was misleading about the information when taken in context of the date when it was posted. Meanwhile the GSM camp have the Prada LG so the GSM/3G shine has perhaps lost it's 'shine' as the 'must have' LG fashion phone!! Last edited by wavejockglw : 14-04-2007 at 22:18. |

Hello I seen this offer and think ill get the texting option or else the student promotion which is avaliable to anyone. I am currently on o2 payg and find that I spend over 30 some months maybe more and also my current phone is a bit worse for wear. I had a motorola t720i once and was very fond of it and since there is a few phones to choose from I am thinking of getting a flip phone but im currently wondering whether it should be the SE Z610i or the LG U830. I like the look of the LG but ive had a SE before and liked that also.Any views are appreciated.
Thanks P.S When I am on 3 I roam onto o2 or ive heard orange now.Does this cost anything extra when making calls or sending messages. Also when im in another 3 country does the same apply when romaing onto the 2g network.I live in northern ireland so it applies to me more Thanks |

There is no extra charge for using it and all your minutes are still inclusive - it doesn't matter if you're accessing 3 via their own 3 network or their official 2G partner. In fact, should you ever head to the Republic; you'll roam onto 3 Ireland (and their 2G partner Vodafone Eire) and thanks to the new 3 Like Home facility your minutes'll even work down there too! (same applies for other countries with their own 3 Network such as Sweden, Austrailia & Hong Kong). If it's another country, "Standard" roaming will apply and while you're usually stuck with 2G, it's all the one (super-inflated) charge anyway; just like most networks. I hope the EU sort this out before too long.... Last edited by Mr Cable : 15-04-2007 at 19:26. |

Hi
Seems like ALL the phones on the £15 tariff are refurbished phones , from a conversation in the 3 shop today I managed to get him the LG u400 , I must admit the wheel quality looks piss poor , I dont think it will stand up to it for 18 months of use as mentioned , but got we a £30 credit on the wifes 3 phone and £30 credit allocated to the new phone and a 1GB memory card upgraded from the 512 standard card I also have a spare Lg U880 he can use when the ones breaks

Perhaps the stores have a different pool of handsets. |

Perhaps the stores have a different pool of handsets. It was a 3 phone dept , within a Superdrug store , so yes maybe they have a different pool of stock to sell . The main website didn't have any in stock , they had 8 in stock and other models had the refurbished stickers on them.......or it was just the assistant talking through his hat Last edited by coopermanyorks : 16-04-2007 at 15:58. |
