Panasonic Sa-ht990 Multi Region

Does anyone out there know if there is a multi-region hack for this dvd player, without having to pay £40.00 for a chipped remote which apparantly does the business for you.

Remote hacks are not possible on Panasonic equipment,although £22 should get you a special remote.

Do these remotes work?

I have found them for around £22 which is not to bad.

I'm after getting some Aisan( Korean, Chinese, Hongkong, Japan) Whu Shu DVD's and they are region 3. It takes for ever for these type of films to get released over here if ever.
