Think BT mobile use Vodafone's network! Virgin use T-Mobile and 3 are moving from O2 to Orange.

thats their 3G network, which operates at 2.1Ghz for all networks i believe, making it easier to combine the two. the 2G side of it operates on different frequencies for each network. i believe its 900Mhz for Voda/o2 and 1800Mhz orange/t-mobile.

Vodaphone are also used by Dotmobile the student network.

Haven't used dotmobile, but read a few negative things.

That would be pretty good if orange and voda combined, the 3G coverage in Norwich for Orange is piss poor.

I know it's their 3G network.

The two combining wouldn't make things much different for me - Orange 3G is in the village I am in, and if you believe the coverage map Vodafone will work next door but not in my house ;p.

Should be a good signal on Orange at the UEA, there's a mast on top of the student union building

Yeh, UEA is fine, just in between that and town, where i live, there is nothing.

Even in the town centre only half is covered.
