"Unlimited Evening & Weekend Browsing" bundle on Orange World
sparkster2k
21-02-2007
I'm moving house next week and will be without broadband for a couple of weeks

In a bid to keep my sanity, I am looking into temporary alternatives - nothing high speed required, just enough to get me browsing/checking e-mail/MSN, etc.

One idea I had was to sign up for the Unlimited Evening & Weekend Browsing offer from Orange and just connect my handset to my PC - it's only £5 p/m. If I was to add this bundle to my package, would I be obligated to keep it for 12 months and, more to the point, would the service agreement allow me to use the "unlimited" browsing on a PC?

Does anyone have any other ideas? I'd even consider 56k, but don't want to have to pay for the calls.

I've done the very same thing in the past. Only problem was convincing the CSR that such a bundle existed despite it being heavily advertised on their website at the time. To help you out the deal is called:

"Chargeable Umltd Ev & Wk OW : Unlimited Off Peak GPRS" on the bill which I assume is also how it's written on their systems. I had to speak to a supervisor in the end to get it added to my account. I also had the same query as you about the 12 month minimum term. It doesn't have one, unlike the other orange "unlimited" bundle.

Also, even though it's called GPRS on the bill, 3g usage is also included.
