Adam D

Hello. i have a Nokia N80 and for a while now it has been displaing the little voice mail icon in the corner. It never used to display this... I dont have any voicemail at all. When i do get one there are two little things and all the time 1is full and when i do get one the other is.

Thank You

What does the icon look like and what network are you on? What does your voice mailbox say when you listen to it?

I dont have any messages in my voice inbox at all.

I am on orange contract.

its hard to explain what it looks lik. its the icon that is on the number 1 key on most phones. but all the time one side is fulled in and when i get a voice mail both of them are not(sorry i said the other way in my first post)

Does turning your voicemail on or off make any difference. I'm not sure how you do that on Orange. Have you tried asking Orange?

The symbol is called a Spool - its basically a horizontal line with two circles at each end below the line. The two circles represent Line 1 and Line 2 repsectively... a feature only available with Orange. If the left hand circle is filled in this means u have a voicemail on Line 1, likewise if the right circle is filled in you have voicemail on Line 2. If both, then you have voicemail on both lines! lucky you!!

How do you switch?

This might fit into it. I moved my number to orange from vodaphone. Maybe line one is the origional number and has a voice mail and line2 is the one i am using and i have no voicemail

How about ringing your own number, leaving a voicemail, wait for the phone to tell you that you have a new message. Ring voicemail, listen and delete the new message.

Anything?

If you're all having problems it looks like it might be a software problem. I'd get onto the Nokia website and find your nearest Nokia Service Centre and get the phone updated. You might be able to do it yourself on the Nokia website, I'm not sure.

It can sometimes stick when it's not meant to, but never fear a call to the trusty Orange Customer services and they can clear it for you so it only comes up when you have a message.
