Strictly Oscars!
nancy1975
23-02-2007
Due to a massive powercut in Los Angeles we proudly present:

Live from London, this is Strictly Oscars, live! With your hosts, Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly!

Bruce and Tess do their 'dance'. Cut to stars in audience applauding bemused.

Bruce: Welcome to Strictly Oscars. It's nice to see you, to see you,
Audience: Nice!!
Bruce: And the stars here tonight, I can't believe who's here. We had to juggle the spaces in the car park to get all the limos in you know. And I saw Clint Eastwood have to get out and buy his own parking ticket from the machine. And he had to get the right change from me. I'll see you later Clint.
Tess: Amazing Bruce. We have a packed show tonight and lots to look forward to.
Bruce: First up we have the best actress award. We have our judges to comment on all the performances. Here is Helen Mirren's in The Queen.

Clip plays.

Bruce: Now Arlene, what did you think of that?
Arlene: Well....I have to say that her hands are a problem. I didn't see that they were queenly. The way she stroked that corgi was not how I would expect the Queen to stroke a corgi and...
Len: Arlene, you're talking absolute...
Arlene: I'm sorry Len, I do feel that she wasn't expressing through her hands how a monarch should. That's what I believe.
Bruce: What about you Bruno?
Bruno: Well, Helen Mirren really can sell a performance, and I thought she was like a majestic clipper ship sailing on a crest of a wave, totally involving and convincing.
Bruce: Len?
Len: You know wot. I thought she was fantastic. I thought it had great content, technically she really really good, right where she belongs, top of the tree.
Bruce: What about you Craig?
Craig: For me, the best part of her performance was her hat. She needs to work much more on her expressions...
Bruce: Well, the judges are very split there.

Voice over: The Judges scores. Craig Revell Horwood:

5. (Boos).

Arlene Phillips: 7.

Len Goodman: 'They're bonkers, those two.' 10.

Bruno Tonioli: 10! (Cheers.)

Spotlights. Music.

Bruce: We combined the judges scores and the public vote and the winner of the Strictly Oscar for Best Actress is:

Dum dum dum dum.........

Helen Mirren!!

Craig and Arlene are seen shaking their heads.

You most certainly should be doing other things with your life Nancy... thinking about writing for profit. You are a natural.
