Moving swiftly back to topic, here's my prediction for Crossroads' finale:-
A masked person calmly walks into the hotel, places a box on the desk, turns and walks out. Suddenly there is a huge bang and the entire hotel goes up sky high. The person steps into a car, turns to camera & peels of the mask.....it turns out to be Richard Hillman who then says "You can never, EVER keep a bad guy down" before driving off into the sunset, cackling non stop. Cue end credits. |

Dont watch 'The Bill'
Is the "majority" of their cast taken from soaps/shows then? Were any of the original cast of Crossroads in programmes before...? Was Kathy Staff in stuff before Crossroads (well known stuff I mean!) |

The majority of The Bill cast seem to be from Corrie, Eastender, Neighbours and Brookside at the moment.
I have no idea what cast members of the original Crossroads were in before Crossroads although Tony Adams (Adam Chance) and Jane Rossington (Jill Chance/Harvey etc) were in Emergency Ward 10 I think. Tony |

So has the Bill suffered from having people from other soaps/shows in as much as Crossroads has?
In particular, I have never liked Sherrie Hewson - especially when she was in Corrie and IMHO very little can be said about the rest of the cast who appear more wooden than the set Crossroads storylines have often seemed a bit American-soap like(far fetched and often unbelievable) I think it might have worked had they worked on their storylines, scripts and had better actors....it didnt do itself any favours really by being so corny... The setting was fine but thats pretty much all... I'm afraid I wont be sorry to see it go especially when I dont think they put that much effort into the show or its relaunch in the first place |

No - you really cannot claim that all the acting in Crossroads is wooden - a number of the current cast have very good track records, but I think that they are better than the material they are working with. I have enjoyed this crossoads - mostly - and am sorry that ITV have not given it the chance it should have had - hear the ratings have gone up since the news - tough

Wjat an incredible co-incidence !! |

Crossroads would probably have done a lot better shown at a different time - it could've attained cult status with students etc if shown at lunchtime. They also keep taking off the omnibus on sunday night which is annoying.
