How fantastic was this episode!

I think it really wrapped up The OC brilliantly!

I love that everyone finally has some happiness!

Julie getting a degree, Summer doing what she loved, Summer+Seth getting married, The Cohens back in Berkley...and Ryan and Taylor!

I will miss The OC so much...

...and yes I did shed a tear...or few

It was so very sad but brilliant.

Ryan: "Hey, kid... need some help?" as a final line was genius.

GO TEAM JULIE!

I love how much that character has grown and that she finally choose herself and her family over the men in her life

I only started watching the OC about 18 months ago on the recommendation of my friend. I downloaded and watched the first 2 series in under 2 and a half weeks, just in time for the start of season 3.

I can't believe that it's all over. Even though the majority of season 3 was poor, I was still hooked on the show, downloading every episode as soon as it was released on the internet.

Though the way the show ended was good, I feel it was VERY rushed, only due to the fact that the writers had to cram everything into 16 episodes, which is a huge shame, as many storylines were rushed, and potential scenes were not even filmed (eg, Frank did bugger all in his time in the show, mainly because there weren't enough episodes remaining to allow him to appear more.

I'm gutted that the show is over, and feel tempted to blame it all on Mischa Barton for leaving, as it lead to poor(er) ratings, though it lead to a VAST improvement in quality from season 3 to season 4

R.E. the episode, the Bullit and his 12 kids was hilarious, especially their names! Also, I liked the way Summer said "these teen dramas just seem to go on forever." Finally, the fates of all the characters provided an ideal ending, especially the closing scene with Ryan.

Damn, I'm gonna miss this show

I loved this episode, The ending montage was superb. I love the Bullits (BANG!) Im going to miss this show.

Did anyone notice that one of the guys who lived in the berkley house was the "Crab and brie fillow" waiter from the first episode.

Just watched it (finally)
after staying up until after 3 this morning trying to find out what happened through american message boards (Not easy and I would not recommend it lol)
But wow
even though I knew what was happening, it seemed better than most were desrcibing. I loved the whole thing.
Bullit and Caitlin have become two of my favourite characters after hating both possionately when they first appeared. Their relationship was great together and was nice to see them as a sort of father and daughter which neither of them ever really had, even though Julie left him at the altar, and also how they were TEAM JULIE, I absolutely loved that.
Taylor and Ryan were left a little bit ambiguous which I think was good. Those who believe Ryan and Marissa were meant to be and noone could get in the way can go on believing that the show ended with Ryan not with anyone. And those who thought Ryan and Taylor were a great couple can take that Look from the wedding to mean they were still together, absolutely fabulous I thought.
Having Marissa in the episode was good aswell, would have been an injustice if she hadn't been in it, although if I were to meet Mischa barton I would have to contain myself from slapping her for causing the early death of my favourite post-Friends show. Although on the other hand, had it gone on another Season it would have run out of Ideas and probably left with bad memories.
Seth and Summer, That was so sad, but happy aswell, they were always destined to be and in the end were the Ross and Rachel of the OC.
Sandy teaching was a good surprise, he was always good with all the kids in the OC and to have him teaching makes perfect sense.
Julie, my ultimate favourite from the OC seasons 1-4, ended brilliantly. The best ending of all imo, Graduating, having another kid, having a (what seemed like it must be a) good relationship with both Bullit and Frank, getting along with her daughter and "not settling for comfotable" was the most emotional part of the episode for me. I love how she got along with caitlin as they were so similar and how they did things for each other, like previously when julie was going to marry Bullit because he got on so well with Caitlin. I think the Julie and Caitlin relationship was the main reason that this season was so good, seeing Julie get on with her daughter made me forget about Marissa a lot because she never got along with Julie and they always ended up arguing. Happy Julie is great. One of the best characters I have ever watched in a TV show.

Can't believe it's over. I loved it so much, because the kids were all my age, they graduated high school the same time as I finished High School, they started College the same time as I started Uni, they were just so great. Totally different Lifestyles but same issues and really, imo a perfect show. I hold out hope that it may get picked up again for a final swansong sometime in the future but it doesn't seem likely, it was a pop culture phenomenon to begin with but sadly it got ahead of itself, but for those who have watched all 4 seasons, we know how good it was, when it was good, it was the best on TV, and when it was bad, well, at least it was still better than One Tree Hill.

Does anyone know ratings for the last epiosde?

I feel weird inside, i know it sounds silly, but no more OC...its horible

We're only upto episode 7 on E4, so the final episode won't be aired over here for at least another 2 months, so you haven't missed it!

Seems like it got close to 7Million viewers for the finale.

Good going I think.

There is a petition to get it back on air, on the official website, it has been up for a while, although I signed it, thinking about it. I think a new series would ruin it all.

Everyone is pretty much happy with the ending (after the tears have dried) and a new series may jeopardise the history of the show since it would either take place within the years skipped, so if summer and seth split up, we would know they were getting back together, or after the wedding etc which would be totally different as they don't like in the oc, but anyway, the link is http://www.fox.com/oc/savetheoc/

I think a good show would be Julie, Kaitlin, New son, Bullit and Frank. Kaitlin at College and Julie after graduation. Would make a great show, open to OC cast visits, but very unlikely.

Think I will go for the 2 and a half day retreat to watch OC from start to finish.

haha have a fun 2 and a half days.

I agree. As must as I do wish it would come back, I like the way it has ended and thinking about it a reprisal may just ruin it.

Maybe a reunion in a few years but who knows.

I'm happy with the end...I'm going to wait for season 4 on DVD then lock myself away and watch!

yep
Reunion Show woudl be the best for them.
Waiting 5 years and setting it at Seth and Summers first anniversary party
or even at their wedding reception something like that

Didn't dallas do somethign like that, a reunion a few years later, movie length but still just on TV.

The Royle Family did it, The OC can do it.

yeah dallas did 3 reunion films i think, were hits i think. and the royle family did it! and this life (although i never watched it)!

think a reunion would be good, but need mourning time at the mo! if they do a reunion next year it would be a bit dumb. but years time yes defo!

The last episode was fantastic!!!!! It was also sad in places but great to see it end in such a perfect way. The ending was the perfect way to end the show, and I loved it when Ryan asked that young boy if he wanted help right at the end- I LOVED that!! I am going to miss it soooo much! But it ended the way it should of done. It would be great if they did a reunion in a few years time, there could be a baby Seth- how cute would that be!??! Also they may all be settling down and starting families, it would be interesting to see if they ever considered doing a one-off episode in a few years time.

OMG, I just literally watched the last ep, and Im just literally wiping the tears from eyes. It was such a beautiful ending to such a fantastic show. People can say what they want but I enjoyed, thoroughly, every season. I loved the fact that they decided to show little Rose Cohen grown up. The show has closure now, and, as much as I hate to say it, I really hope they dont bring it back anytime soon. Maybe a one hour episode years down the line but thats it. BTW I also loved when Summer said, with regards to The Valley getting 5 more seasons..."These teen dramas just run forever" LOL!

I think it was the best ending, no questions and no more things need resolving. A happy ending at last for everyone yay (including pancakes!)
I think that a one off reunion in years to come would be great!
Loved Team Julie, and the fact it was like a cycle!
LOVE IT!!!
