Hi Guys,

I have been with T-Mobile for years and always found them great!

I need to change tariff as I don't get any signal in my new house!

I haven't got a clue which phone to go for of who to go with.

Does anyone have any advice as to who to go with and any good phones that are out there. I quite liked the look of the Nokia 7373 or the Sony Ericsson W810i

Help!!!

Changing Tariff wont do you any good, you need to change network.

Orange, Vodafone and O2 are generally better for coverage than the others.

orange Dolphin £35 is a good tariff at the moment, giving loads of minutes and SMS for £35.

SE W810i has been around for a while now, and I think the K800i is a better phone.

Go into a Phone store such as the Carphone Warehouse, and have a look at them, they have most of the more popular phones available as demos, so you can actually play with them and see what you think.

IT might be worth waiting for the N95, which is due out in March.

5mp camera, WiFi, and internet browsing, looks like it will be a nice phone.

It means no matter what phone you get you still wont get any T-Mobile reception. You need to change to one of the other Networks.

Vodafone and O2 seem to have the best coverage. I've recently swapped to Vodafone because the Virgin signal is terrible round here. I live in a rural area.

Make sure you're out of your tnobile contract commitment period - having a poor signal is not reasonable grounds for an early get-out and you'll be charged for the rest of the line rental.

It'd be fair to say that all of the big-3 networks generally have better coverage then T-Mobile, with each one having areas where they excel over the other 2.

The best network for signal I've found is O2. Its steady and reliable in my flat. The worst is vodafone but when you go outside its ok.

It wouldn't be fair to say that at all, unless you're just talking about personal experiences. No one UK network has singificantly better coverage than another.

I'm talking about personal experience all over the country - from the North West coast of Scotland, to central London to North Cornwall...

I think it would be perfectly fair to say that 3 of the UK networks have significantly better coverage than the remaining one. Don't get me wrong, T-Mobile has come a long way since the One2One days - but they're still not a patch on the big-3 once you go off the beaten track. Of course there will be the occasional local exceptions, but on the whole...

There are 4 main networks not 3.

Vodafone
O2
Orange
T-Mobile

T-Mobile might not have the best signal in your experience but in others they will have and are a main network.

I to switch from T-mobile to O2 as they are the only one with a good signal where I now live. Have had no trouble with them for the last 18 months.

If you have an old unlocked phone send for the free pay as you go sims from the other networks and see who is giving you the best coverage. I would love to switch to T-Mobile but like you the signal is rubbish.

Or go onto their websites and check the coverage in your area, most of them provide that info somewhere on their sites.

Alternatively, try this one:

http://www.sitefinder.ofcom.org.uk/

On the left hand column click on 'Find GB site' and then in the box type in your post code and you can check the masts in your area.
