I love the new theme tune, and the credits themselves are ok as well.

I think they all look great in the new titles; very sophisticated and modern. Not keen on the music though.

Don't like them much but as I'll be seeing them 5 times a week I'm sure I'll get used to them eventually.
Still a bit of a disappointment though as I was quite looking forward to these. The main reason why I dislike them is IMO the show has grown up a lot over the past few years, and the new titles don't really reflect that. It's almost like they are going backwards rather than forwards. Someone on the other thread drew comparisons with Grange Hill and I can see why. This is a primetime soap that millions are now watching everyday, surely it's time they adapted a little because of this and recognise that nowadays it's not just young people watching. The theme music will definitely grow on me, but I hope they have a slower version or alternative after particularly dramatic/emotional episodes. |

I think they will take some getting used to, they look a bit tacky to be honest and the theme tune is like someone composed it in the back bedroom on their Casio keyboard

They all look great in the titles but I just don't think that the music or the look reflects the programme right now, IMO.
It all felt a bit 'light and fluffy' and didn't really match the episode, especially since the episode consisted of a boy struggling with his sexuality and a teenage girl secretly going into labour. Perhaps my opinion may change ofcourse. I'm not very keen on the music especially when it goes to an ad break, as it doesn't have the same dramatic effect as the old one did. This is all just my opinion ofcourse. Anyway... I'm sure I'll get used to them eventually.

The thing I like least about the new titles is the new Hollyoaks 'font' with the male and female symbols. Actually to be honest I think the whole thing its pretty tacky. Weren't HO supposed to be moving away from the 'just for kids and teenagers' image? New titles make it look like a Saturday morning kids TV show.

I was so looking forward to them on fridays E4 but they didnt' show The music gives the show a fresh new feel and the titles realy show off the fabulous cast, even if you blink and miss someone! Youtube yet anyone? I've looked around but nothing yet, guess it takes a few hours... |

I think they are superb and have been very badly needed for the last six months.

Hehe I love the new titles. Just because they are differant doesn't mean they havn't 'Grown Up'. They are not boring unlike Corrie/EE. And what about soaps like Neighbours and H&A? They're titles are hardly 'Grown Up', but they are still effective.

They're fab! More people are shown than I thought would be which is great! I wish i'd seen Grandpa Bill in them though. Imagine him breakdancing, thats what I call comedy!

There's also just something in them that makes me want to watch them again and again, incase I've missed something etc.

I like em and the music aint that bad. Only thing I dont like is what they've done the the O's in Hollyoaks by turning them into the male and female symbols

Home and away's titles are actually great! Neighbours are boring for a second year running....
Hollyoaks new ones, are bit different, but I love when it goes off for a break, that is really good! Taking the show into a new era!! Love it, and new music too! |
