I've recently acquired a Nokia E61 SmartPhone and want to register with a SIP service provider to make VOIP calls using its WiFi (as distinct from GSM/3G) networking capability. There are several providers out there, but I would appreciate advice from anyone who's tried (and succeeded with one of them.

Sipgate have a help page on setting up a Nokia E60/61 so I guess it is possible:

If you use a company like voxalot.com to register your phone, you get to have a whole raft of providers, dial plans, voicemail and all the rest with your Nokia E61. This means you can get an incoming number with someone like Sipgate and then also register with someone like voipdiscount.com for free calls. (I haven't got an E61, but I use voxalot on my VoIP phone.)
