If anybody else has this problem, you just have to search for each performance individually - e.g "Any Dream will do Lewis", and the performances will be there uploaded by another user.

Just noticed Rob fluffing his lines bless him

Yes, but some of the performances have been uploaded by another user - it doesn't look like all of them though.

I couldn't agree more.

It's funny how men have the same misguided ideas about what women like in a man as women have about what men like in a woman.

I posted this in the video's thread I think. Trust me to forget that to come and edit my post on here . They're all up there now I think (by that user), although I've not seen Keith's or Craig's (but I don't like them, so I wouldn't be looking ).

They're also up on the BBC site, but you need to have Real Player to view them.

Thanks - I'll have a look. And I like Keith, so I'll have a look for his too!

Lee Mead 2.62
Daniel Boys 4.00
Keith Jack 8.00
Seamus Cullen 9.00
Lewis Bradley 9.00
Chris Barton 13.00
Antony Hansen 13.00
Rob Mc Veigh 21.00
Johndeep More 26.00
Craig Chalmers 26.00
Ben Ellis 26.00

Not sure if they've been posted before, but those are the betting odds on WillHill.com. Looks like a nice punt going for Daniel or Keith, since I have doubts over whether they will 'let' the current understudy win.

I am a bit bemused about how the show made implicitly clear that Lee Mead was an understudy, has theatre experience, was employed by Bill Kenwright etc etc but gave the impression that Daniel Boys was just a clerk in a portacabin with no mention of any of his previous work .

I liked Daniel, but this was a tad misleading.

Yeah I wondered why they have underplayed Daniel's experience too

I can't believe Lee is higher in the betting than Daniel and by such a large margin, Keith is third favourite (please, is this Middle Earth?) and Rob has dropped so far from being favourite considering he gave such a good performance being the first one on and relatively inexperienced.

But following on from Mamma Mia, We Will Rock You and others of the sort, anything is a show tune these days. It's the interpretation that makes the difference between a show performance and a rock/pop/etc performance.

Daniel has quite limited experience compared to Lee and whether as Lee makes his living purely out of performing, Daniel doesn't.

After watching again, Lee is outstanding. Daniel was very good, but not quite up to Lee's standard. Not yet, but its early days and he's hot on Lee's heels...

Lol@Keith being likened to a hobbit !
He's like the love child of Liza Minnelli and The Artful Dodger to me

EDIT: Oh and Chris B (Teeth) was really good once I stopped gawking at his gnashers and watched it as a whole. I couldn't stop laughing at his teeth while on here the first time i watched. Poor lad lol. He seems to be a favourite with John B, but them Americans do like a big smile don't they

That's one of the things which makes it interesting at this stage. Some of the Josephs are going to "grow" more than others. Lee was very stylish in a way that only experience gives you. Both excellent.

Still think Lewis is one to watch.

So what is the truth about Daniel? I don't know anything about him and I bought the clerk in a Portacabin story.

I do think the introductory films seemed a bit unbalanced in the way the blokes were presented. It's obvious that lots of viewers are going to lap up the cement-company clerk, brickie and checkout boy's stories, perhaps in prefence to somebody who's perceived as more established. I also felt rather sorry for Seamus, whose came across simply as the oldest, and an arrogant git, compared with sweet baby Antony and his beautiful weeping girlfriend, who performed in the same segment as him. Maybe Seamus is a pain and all the others are adorable, but they could have given him a chance instead of putting people off him from the start.

I don't know specifically his background (as I am not interested enough in him to delve that deep) but I have seen mentions on other threads about him understudying in War of The Worlds. I am sure someone else knows more.

I agree very much with your comments about the intro clips though.

Didn't work at all for me - the weepy girlfriend annoyed me, while Seamus came over as knowing what he's talking about and by extension being competent. Plus Antony looked way older than 17 so didn't have the awww factor at all.

I wouldn't say Daniel has limited experience - he has been regularly working in theatre (west end and tours) for the last five/six years. His last theatre job being the European tour of Rent which finished early this year. All actors do temping jobs (office/bar work etc) inbetween jobs. Find it bizarre they aren't talking about his previous experience yet they keep mentioning Lee's - do they think the public won't vote for him if they know and he is the one they want to win?

Btw here are Lee's and Daniel's spotlight CVs incase anyone is interested in their backgrounds:

Thanks Galinda. That's really interesting. It is bizarre. Do they think that we are born yesterday or something? You don't just turn in a performance like Daniels from a standing start, of course he's had experience.

I agree. To me, Seamus came across as a really talented and charismatic performer, whereas Antony came across as being rather cocky and a pretty weak singer. Unfortunately many people lap up everything they're told and jump to conclusions about people too quickly. And before someone says something, yes, I'm happy to be proved wrong about Antony!

Not that I'm all that fanatic about Anthony either.... he's very captivating in all the group performances... very striking, and I think Bill mentioned that. Maybe he'd be better as one of the brothers than as Joseph himself
