Have just watched the show, giving us the final 12 who I thought were all good, but one guy in particular just stood out by far. He was 19yr Keith Jack from Scotland. He has so much emotion and power in his voice, which I think will enable him to be a fantastic Joseph. Can't wait till next weeks show to see how he gets on.

Craig, one of the final 12 Josephs, was in Pop Idol 2. Simon Cowell had high expectations for him after his original audition and had said "top ten" as he walked out the door. In his top 50 heat Craig really did come across as very cocky and desperate. Inbetween the audition and the heat he had appeared on local radio shows to gain support and had got Harvey Nics in Edinburgh (I think) to give him some expensive designer clothes to wear at the heat.

At the heat he chose to sing the same song as he sung at his audition and that didn't go down well with the judges. Mark Rhodes (who was the eventual runner up) and Andy Scott Lee went through from his heat.

If I remember rightly (and I could be wrong) after Pop Idol didn't materialise for him he went back to singing in his band at ladies nights, etc.

He looks like Jermaine Defoe. He could get a job as a look-a-like.

I agree. I like a lot of the Top 12 but Keith has been my favourite since the beginning. He reminds me of Danny from McFly (a very good thing, imo )

I hope he does well

Fingers crossed as my favourite, Daniel, hasn't been featured too heavily so far. Very talented singer with a very versatile voice and a good actor too.

I can't say I'm too fussed about Lee, the 'Phantom' guy. Slightly smarmy and not half as good as he thinks he is.

He has the same shade of blusher as me.

The show pulled in 5.9 million viewers last night compared to 4 million for 'Grease Is The Word'.

I cringed with the whole 'close every door' bit when they didn't get through. It was even worse with the whole 'so long, farewell' bit from maria.

I'm not really suprised at this. I honestly thought "Grease is the Word" would do miles better than boring old Joesph on BBC1 but after the ITV Show last night, my opinion has changed.

"Grease is The Word" is a cheap and tacky version of "The X Factor". The Majority of those who auditioned for that crap are just fame seeking wannabes who are so bloody delluded. For a Start, can you image a 37-yr-old woman playing a 17-yr-old girl and what about the first contestant who honestly thought that he looks and acts, sings and dances like Danny when basically he was just Crap. "Grease is The Word" became too tacky for my liking, I just landed up putting the footie on and I rarely do that on a regular basis

However "Joesph" wasn't much flipping better either. I watched a few minutes of it and i thought - BORING and that's probably because it is just male obessed and I just can't watch things like that. However had another series of "Maria" came on or something similar to that I would probably be gripped. I also managed to watch the end of it and when they were all crying I just thought - YOU BIG BABIES - It was just too cringeworthy for my liking and I'm glad I went back upstairs to download music.

With Britain's got Talent on The Way and More X Factor is 2007 the year of Overloaded Reality TV?

I've just said over on the TV Programmes forum; I left Joseph on in the background, after Doctor Who whilst I did some tidying up, with no intention of either becoming addicted, or ever watching it again. By the end of the show I had a favourite (Lewis) and was cheering when the ones I didn't like were being sent home!

Also, is it me, or did this Rob character strike anybody else as being a bit, erm, simple?

Edit: Bl**dy Hell! I've just read here that Rob is favourite to win!

Can't wait for the live shows to start! The Grease show was absolutely crap... sniggering judges, awful contestants, shabbily produced.

Good for them. I hope the margin increases after Sinnita's ridiculous plea for viewers on Friday.

Olivia Newton-John was 33 when she played Sandy.

My sister is nearly 43 and with the right hairstyle, clothes and natural looking make-up can pass for 20.

Do you mean Nick, the guy with the long red hair, and Ezra, the gospel singer? I was gutted and totally shocked that they weren't put through.

Is Seamus the one who looks a bit like Roger Daltrey in Tommy? He was good.

I have to say I'm supporting Daniel though, particularly now that Nick is out.

Daniel was the understudy for all four male roles in last year's live tour of The War of the Worlds where he had to be prepared to step in for artists as varied, distinctive and experienced as Justin Hayward, Russell Watson, Chris Thompson and Alex James. He was never called upon to perform throughout the tour but had to fill in for Russell Watson as the Parson at the dress rehearsal after Russell sprained his ankle and earned great reviews from critics as well as fans who had been invited to attend the dress rehearsal.

I should have been more precised shouldn't have I?

Can you imagine a 37-yr-old woman who is Ugly and can't sing, act or dance play a 17-yr-old girl?

What's betting that's the sing-farewell song on the live shows when someone is booted off? It's gotta be that, or Those Canaan Days.

I like Kevin (or is Keith)- really young guy with lovely smile- I am routing for him. Seamus is too false - that interview when he was crying with Graham and saying there is so much talent yet he bloody knows he is one of the best

Kevin/Keith looks like a Macfly band member then another one is spitting image of Matt from Busted

I think his name's Keith. Good voice but I can't see him as Joseph.

Based on talent, I'd go for Keith, Daniel, Lee or Seamus but I can see the David Beckham lookalike getting it on image or the brickie on the sympathy vote.

Thanks for this. I was wondering where I'd seen him before. He's very good in the extras bits on the DVD.

Seamus is so blah, there were more entertaining people.”

I think you are right, Ed's voice was not MT enough, though ALW did say he wanted a different more "popy" sound. I would say that it was a great shame Ed didnt get through, you would have seen a great character. He would be great TV at least.

A couple of them, Keith included look too young. Joseph ages around 10 years during the show and Keith in particular would struggle to look older than 16 never mind 26!

Seamus seems to be deeply annoying, hopefully he'll go early. The builder guy didn't appear to be up to scratch with at least 3 of the others but could get the 'journey' sympathy vote.

i don't have a favorite yet, look forward to seeing them all do a full song this week before I make my mind up.
