Just a quick simple question... can i use the remote for my TV to operate my DVD Player (not toshiba)? There is a little slider on the side to select DVD, TV etc, but no mention of inputing codes to operate other manufacturers hardware.

I've not found any reference anywhere in terms of using the Tosh remote to control my LG DVD player or Mitsubishi VCR. And in all honesty, the keys on the remote are so small and so hard to read that I'd feel more comfortable using the keys on the respective pieces of kit's own remotes than the ones on the Tosh remote.

Conversely, if anybody knows the code to make the LG DVD remote be able to control the volume and channel on my Tosh TV, that would be very welcome, and I'd be eternally grateful. LG only give codes for Sonys, Samsungs and Goldstar in the manual that came with the DVD.

Never mind, just ordered a Toshiba DVD Recorder with 160GB HDD and if the remote worksthem both then woopie, if not never mind as im sure there will be a few extra buttons on the DVD Recorder's.

On the subject of this TV, has anyone or does anyone use a VGA cable to link their Xbox 360s to it? I tried mine and had same effects as most people using one, the washed out colours - really badly too! Have tried messing around with settings and colour but cannot achieve anything decent, has anyone got any good results? I must admit the picture with this cable is pretty sharper though hence would like to get the colours to display correctly.

The Tosh TV remote only operates Tosh products.
