I'm looking for a DVD recorder, but I'm having real trouble finding one that does everything I want.
1. At least one digital / freeview tuner with nice EPG
2. A reasonable (80GB) hard disk
3. Play DVD's in progressive scan
4. Play audio CD's (well)
5. Digital (Dolby 5:1) audio output
6. RGB scart (TV) & component outputs (projector)
7. Be able to talk to our media PC on the home network...

So far, I'm getting stuck at number 7, network connectivity. Or I can find a network dvd recorder (Kiss) but no freeview TV tuner..

Does anybody know anything out there that does it all. Or is there another / better solution??

Many thanks

S'just a normal PC with 500GB of video/media files connected to a LAN with a router. Works a treat with our Xbox running XBMC (cabled). Rest of kids' pc's hooked up via wireless. Would be nice to find a TV recorder that would talk to it...

Niall, after a further bit of googling, I've decided to go for the Humax PVR-9200T you suggested. It's reasonably priced, & everyone who's bought one seems to rave about it. Thanks so much for drawing it to my attention.
Cheers
