Is it possible to get an AV amp with several HDMI inputs to allow you to use it as an HDMI switch. If I'm talking through my fundamental orifice please feel free to say so!

I think I'd wait until blue-ray and HD-DVD disk players are more common. There will be new additional sound formats for these players which most current amps can't cope with.

Thanks for the advice. In the meantime I have ordered one of these to give me more HDMI connectivity.

I ordered it yesterday morning and it arrived about an hour ago. It does have a power supply. The usual TR type plug and a 6v plug on the back of the unit. Fitted it in five minutes and it works fine. Comes with a high quality gold plated Belkin HDMI cable 1.8m long. So I will be able to use HDMI for up to three devices.

Not that I can tell. I have swopped the Belkin cable with the cheap HDMI cable that came with my SKY HD box and if there is any difference I cannot see it.

No! Input selection is done by a switch on the front of the unit or by the simple remote control. If the power is switched off no signal is passed through.

I did the test on the HDMI training. Very informative!

Many thanks
