As time go's on it will get worce. Lower and lower ratings will force producers to hire models instead of actors just like they do in USA soaps!

It does get people tuning in though.
I have been glued to EE because of Sean. I'd still watch even if he wasn't in it, but I might not look forward to it as much!

Personally i think that the soap boses tend to have loads of good looking women and not so many good looking men which i think is wrong as i'm guessing (dont shout at me if i'm wrong!) the majority of soap watchers are women and i would rather see good looking men than women!

I got a bit annoyed with Hollyoaks as it was crammed full of skinny blonde girls (all very attractive!) but hardly any nice men.

This imo is exactly right....the gay community is also fond of it's soaps so it would make more sense to concentrate on good looking guys, preferably ones who can act. You still need good looking women too I guess a happy medium would be nice.

i can think of loads of women in any soap that i would fancy (if i was that way inclined or Male) but on the male totty side....

Emmerdale - Matthew or Grayson
Corrie - Paul O Connor
EE - Sean (but only due to lack of any others!!)

Maybe its just my strange taste in men!!

Spot on you guys! I am glad other people have noticed this strange fact about the male actors.

EE is the worst soap for this. It is almost as if they go out of their way to cast hidious male actors. On a point of fact, woman make up the majority of soap viewers. It is around 70% female 30% male. So of cource their should be plenty of male totty, but sadly not as it seems.

Back to the OP's question.........I don't honestly believe that Liam Connor from Corrie was brought in because of his acting abilities - he got that job cos he's 'fit'.

Same goes for Robert Kasinsky (or whatever his name is)

The guy who plays David in Emmerdale was obviousley only cast because of his looks. He really is a terrible actor.
