Thinking of buying this DVD recorder. Wanted to see if anyone has one and if it is any good? Mainly can I record stuff from my Sky+ box onto it via RGB? Any feedback would be appreaciated.

Hi, I am planning on buying this DVD player to record off my Sky Box - it works well with Sky then?

Yes, works a treat mate. The synchro record feature is good as well. Have used the freeview bit as well.

Did you get it then? All set up? One other thing how come you still have AOL bb and not Sky? Can you not get it yet or are you in a contract still.

Hi, yes got it all set up and I love it! Works well with Sky, which is good because that's the precise reason I bought it Although when I set Synchro - rec with Autoview if the programmes are next to each other it will only record the first? It doesn't seem to detect the Autoview if the programme follows the last.... Ok that wasn't the best way to explain it.....

We have Sky and AOL because it's paid for by different people in the house, O and we like our AOL accounts!

Well you got me intrigued about Sky broadband so I had a quick look it would only be £4/£5 a month cheaper swapping to Sky broadband for the equivalent package so perhaps not worth it, also we are 1 month into a second 18 month contract with AOL so not possible anyway atm

Ok I'll try to explain the Syncro-rec/Autoview problem I currently have... in English

If I set the Sky box to Autoview say Coronation Street 7.30-8.00 then set Autoview for Eastenders 8.00-8.30 then set a further programme for 8.30-9.00 the DVD recorder will receive the signal and record Corrie, but at 8.00 it stops recording and doesn't detect the Sky box is sending the Eastenders signal, and it also won't detect the third signal. So I only get the first programme unless I do a manual record set up.

Hi, ok I see what you are saying now. I'm not sure about that as I have a Sky+ box and so only use the recorder to archive stuff off the Sky box and don't use it in that way.
