So...... what with his wayward wife about to abscond on her own......... his dad on his way to the big car lot in the sky..... that just leaves Fat Pat and her earrings to rattle around the house all on her own. Apparently, Shaun Williamson, who plays Barry, committed himself to a panto over the Christmas period 2003. He did not clear this with the producers of EE, and therefore his contract is being terminated in November. He will be on screen into 2004. But they have not said he will be definitely killed off and may be given the chance of a return at a later date.

I suspect they'll have him committed to an institution for the criminally sentimental ................

I'm quite glad he's going.... he drives me mad... I can definitely see why Nat is leaving him Do Nat and Ricky really leave? I haven't heard anything about the characters leaving.

When will they learn that the reason that Eastenders is so dismal at the moment is the scripts. No amount of cast culling will help that.

I dont think its the scripts...its the actual storylines themselves...or is that the same thing? hehe

I've said it before and I'll say it again...soaps go through lulls...it would be impossible and beyond belief for soaps to churn out top storylines all the time

I've quite enjoyed the last two episodes with the Barry/Natalie storyline. Although I could have done without Janine's interference - that got tiresome. Bit of a relief after all the exploding stills, the 'accidentally' taking on four useless barmaids and manoevering them into leaving etc etc ... But what about this baby at the Truemans' house? Why isn't everybody talking about it? It's like they've just bought a new telly or something. Baby? Oh, right ...

I be glad to see this character go, he was a poor excuse for a man.

It couldn't come soon enough for me. How is father, Roy ever forgive him for being so naive when that woman took all there money in that con a few years back is beyond me.

If anything I pity the man, more over his wife for putting up with him as long as she did. I do feel sorry for him that she left him especially after all that he did recently.

We know that EE want to have a share of the huge ratings corrie are getting, so I'm sure that they will get their own serial killer. I am putting my money on the new market boy and think that among the victims will defo be Barry, probably Sam and at least one of the trumans, Vicki and spencer.
