No I think that freeview has about 30 channels(i cud be wrong) and the Virgin DTT has over 40 channels including 25 radio stations, which i believe is more than Freeview

According to this article (http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2007/04...rgin_freeview/) that's exactly what it is. More surprisingly it would appear the box is not even equipped to become an IPTV box, meaning it will never be more than a Freeview box.

Why would I want to get Virgin TV? If they are buying wholesale from Tiscali, I'd rather go with the organ grinder than the monkey - less potential for buck passing in the event of problems, and the quality would presumably be the same! If they are getting it from anyone else, be careful it's not just VOD if you want current programs as they are broadcast - you get that with Tiscali PLUS several thousand hours of VOD and 1000+ films. Granted I'm a bit biassed - I've never had any problems with Tiscali. The good point with just having VOD and watching programs later, though, is that you don't need a TV Licence!

Thats true but you would have to watch on a TV without a receiver wouldn't you?
