Holby City listings on Sky EPG

I don't know who writes the stuff for the "information" sections of the Sky EPG but whoever it is has decided that Holby City is "a Bristol Hospital". Funny, I always thought it was set in a city called er, now what was it again? Oh, that's right - Holby!

It's not even made in Bristol (although Casualty, of course, is and it's supposed to be the same place!)

Yes and its funny that NO ONE has a Bristol accent in the place!

Holby City is filmed in Bristol.
So either they made a mistake, or you misread the article

Correct - they made a mistake! Holby City is actually recorded at the BBC's Elstree studios - quite some distance from Bristol. CASUALTY is recorded in Bristol. (Must have been a bit of a trek for the actors playing Tony and Ben having to commute between the two places recently!)

PS it's not an article - if you have digital satellite, find Holby City on UK Gold (I think it's on jst about every day) and press the Information button. It says something about the every day livves of people in a Bristol hospital.

...although in the first series of Casualty, Duffy had a very definite West country accent. During the break between series 1 and 2, she suddenly became very posh!!

I have to agree with you there, but Casualty and Holby are filmed in different locations. As I said, Holby is filmed in Bristol but is supposed to be set in ummmm Holby!

Why won't you believe me? Holby City is filmed in ELSTREE - that's near London, I believe. Casualty is filmed in Bristol.

I know it's supposed to be set in Holby - that was the point of my original post. Obviously that episode of Corrie has been too much for you!!!

whenever i watch holby or casualty most of the bit part actors always seem to have either welsh or west country accents

So I got the 2 mixed up where they are filmed. I knew one was filmed in Bristol though.

I don't have digital TV.
