Tiscali/Homechoice broadband "down" today :(
London SW16 - No broadband as from an unknown hour overnight
Tiscali (how long till I get used to that name?) say they've been inundated, it's something to do with Greenwich area phones - I didn't know I was anywhere near Greenwich So I'm having to use Virgin dial-up @ 4p per minute Anyone else? My mate in London W9 has had some TV channel loss for at least a week now (I don't use the TV service at the mo). parthena |

I am tiscali customer, it looks as the system has gone "tits up", as an upgrade is running to include Tiscali TV.

I think it depends whether Tiscali have LLU at your local exchange.
For example Tisali don't have LLU at my local exchange, but Homechoice do have LLU. I suspect a lot of work is happening so Tiscali customers not on LLU will be. You have to be on LLU to access IPTV. I love mergers. Why they don't sort it before they state they will launch it on a certain date I don't know! Nexus Last edited by nexusexile : 01-03-2007 at 11:55. |

N16 here -- internet was noticeably slower for browsing when I got home last night, which is manageable I suppose.
What isn't is that download speeds have dropped from 400/500kbps to an average of 35kbps, which is terrible. Has anyone else had a downturn of service since yesterday? I'll call CS later, but it's really crap that on their launch day, the HC broadband goes to pot.

Yesterday they eventually told me they were getting complaints from north as well as south London as a result of the Greenwich server problem. I was always told I was on Croydon server
![]() And I'm only spitting distance from SW11, where Peter had no problem whatsoever. My service was back up at around 4pm. parthena |

The broadband was down yesterday (Thursday) all day until about 4pm. (BTW I'm on the 020-8677 exchange.)
