Anyone into them? I think they are one of the most under-appreciated bands around, and would be interested in hearing people's opinions about this fine band.

That's a blast from the past. I'm afraid I was put off them as an ex boyfriend was obsessed and would sit and listen to their stuff for hours at a time and would get really cross if I spoke while the cd was playing. Brings back crap memories. Maybe when I'm less traumatised I'll give them another go.

Eye in the Sky is my favourite album of all time. I have most of the others and their earlier stuff is far better but its all good.

Fact I know that nobody else would even wish to know (number 435):

Arctic Monkeys' manager sang vocals on Gaudi. (the track Standing on Higher Ground)

Marilliona, with a name like that you surely can't have bad musical taste!
Give the APP another go. I know you ex created some bad memories of them for you, but that sounds like just selfishness on his part to me. Have a listen to "Gaudi" or "Eve" and tell me you don't like this band!
As they sing on "Ammonia Avenue" --- "Give me one good reason why I should listen to you"

Okay, I'll give them another try! I'll play some Marillion to cheer me up then go for it!

Great memories. I toured the US by Greyhound bus in 1983 listening to Alan Parsons on my tape player. Made the long nights fly by.

Anyone know if they are up to anything new?

Another curious fact. I was possibly the first to use Eye in the Sky as theme music for a BBC radio series that I made in 1985/6.
