SE W550i Faulty Housing ?
Hi
My son has a W550i it was supplied Brand new in Sept 06 as a replacement for his original phone , which was stolen and replaced by Cornhill Insurance , the original was purchased in May 2006. So both phones are within a 12 month warranty period His new W550i has developed a fault where the screws holding the casing to the front screen have come free. To tighten and replace the screws the whole turning mechanism needs to be taken apart , so not a DIY job anyway. My questions are as follows 1) Is this a common fault caused by the repeated circular motion required to actually open the phone up to get to the keypad 2) Who shall I talk to about fixing or replacing the phone ? , The Insurance company who paid for the replacement or Dial a phone who supplied it , The insurance company Paid DAP direct and sent the phone to my son. I am not wanting to make an insurance claim but see the problem as something that needs fixing under warranty Thanks Last edited by coopermanyorks : 01-03-2007 at 22:54. |
