After all this is supposed to be for Comic Relief. Why can't the judges and the voting public view this year's Celebrity Fame Academy as an ENTERTAINMENT competition, not just a singing competition

Let's have Somebody crap win for once. Make Great TV History and better still do it for Comic Relief.

That is what I would like - but the two better singers Tricia and Sean bored me to tears - so this year I think I will have to go with the funny vote.

tbh i think although you may have found the performances 'boring' they were soulful & passionate.
why can't people see the real him?

I agree with the OP and to be honest I would love to see Miranda Hart get through to the final...she is funny and Ruby wax went very far relying on her amusing and hugely entertaining performances.
I am also routing for Mel and Tara.
'Barry' is taking himself far too seriously and although his vocal ability will give him a clear advantage he lacks the humour and charisma to deserve a place in the final.
Roland Rivron made me cringe Ade Edmondsen he ain't and I'm glad he went.

I did feel that with Ruby Wax and Ade Edmondson deserved to win each of the previous series' because they were soooooooo funny!

I would like someone similar to Edith to win this year.

She was a competant singer, entertaining, was up for a laugh, did not take herself too seriously, was happy with her career and does not want to use it to launch a singing career/album.

if you want someone similar to Edith, surely the most obvious candidate is Colin?

What do you mean by somebody crap? None of them could sing except maybe the 2 professionals, Barry and the Euro contestant. It was like watching X Factor in the early stages...but it was entertaining

Spot on there! We should start a public campaign for Miranda to win because incase people don't realise this is called COMIC RELIEF does Fame Academy not normal Fame Academy, therefore it is only right that the likes of Miranda win because she is a crap singer who is a good entertainer and that's the sort of person who should win COMIC RELIEF does Fame Academy.

You're spot on there with Barry from Eastenders. You'll find that he bored me to tears. His song was terribly boring and he sang something along the lines of a soulful ballad which basically means that the public are going to vote for him because they seem to think that "oh, he sang a ballad, therefore he has a fantastic voice plus he's Barry from Eastenders and he was from Extras". Well here's a fact for you - He is not Entertaining and is taking this competition far too seriously for a Reality Show called COMIC RELIEF does Fame Academy.

I see where you are coming from but its still called Celebrity Fame Academy not Celebrity Drunken Karaoke Academy. The Beeb wouldnt have employed vocal coaches and judges if the intention was farce. The problem with CFA is that it doesnt know what it is,some of the contestants will take it very seriously and for others it will be slapstick-same as the last series.I dont think the two go together but there again it does raise hundreds of thousands so it is working.
