O2 Allowance P&G question

On O2 i know you an call *#10# to show your call time but is there a number to text or anything to show you your remaining texts on the screen? Calling 4444 is not an option.

No you can't get your remaining text allowance by text, only your calltime balance unfortunately.

They should incorporate your allowance into that balance like:

£9.50
300 Txt Remain

It wouldn't be that hard would it?

Lol I know but they are difficult :P.

When I had vodafone it used to tell me my remaining texts on screen.

I only asked as I recently had an operation which has made me deaf so need things visually now.

Hi

I call 100 and customer services give you details of monthly usage on a pay monthly contract

The downside is the info is a couple of days out and the call comes out of your allowance

I just set my D500 to register the monthly miniutes used and reset it each month.

I don't use that many text , just looked and in my last month I used 3 texts and have 100 to use before the 21st march 07 else they will be lost.

I much prefer to ring people ,as it takes a couple of texts to get the info you can get in a 30 second call
I get 400 mins and 100 texts


I got used to the qwerty keyboard on my Nokia 5510 and the ease at writing texts.

But on the D500 its a pain.

Non of that is any use considering the OP is on Pay As You Go and is deaf.

Hey

I think I read on the forums somewhere that you use a Nokia 6230i? In the messages (or possible calls register) there is a message counter. If you reset that counter every time you top up you should be able to work out how many free messages you have left to use

Hi. It is possible to display your remaining Bolt-On allowances on screen. You can text 'BALANCE' to 20202. You will receive a text message (or messages, depending on how many Bolt-Ons you have) to tell you how much you have remaining in your allowance. It's free to text this number. The reply usually arrives instantly, although it can take a while sometimes.

Yeah just got a 6280 whch also has a message counter

Just to add that sending Balance to 20202 will also show online customers their remaining free allowance.
