Fortunately, Katrina (of the Waves) was very positive, even comparing Tara to Carole King! She said it was a very moving performance, you can fault the notes, you can fault the tone, but you cannot fault the intention of her feelings and the emotion ... every single note she sings is really from the heart. She kind of reminds me of Carole King (incredulity from Ninia and Dom) ... people will love you more if you actually mean it and your intention is true.
The presenters and that panel are just a bunch of idiots. It is rare to see people striving so hard to be funny and failing so badly. Don't worry about them as only equally stupid people would be influenced by them. I have a feeling most performers would support Tara for the reasons given.

Yes I thought she was quite unnecessary how she unkindly said "Tara's the worst singer in there" I don't think Tara would say she is the best singer, but she is certainly improving if the first night was anything to go by. People were asking what she was on, but it now seems it was sheer terror making her look like a rabbit in headlights. Ninia was the worst in Cirque De Celebrite. She had to clown around and was unable to undertake the weekly disciplines seriously. She did not however want to be voted out! She would have only been good as a clown.

You have more faith in the students comments than I have.

Colin is a nailed on certainty to be in the bottom 3 tonight and if he is facing Tara he will win due to Shaun and Ray voting for "the boys"..thus knocking Tara out. The judges will always save Tricia and Shaun and perhaps Ray but they wont save Tara. This means if she is in the bottom 3 tonight OR fails to get the top vote tomnorrow, she cannot win.

Fantastic result tonight - if that does not give her a little confidence nothing will. It was an average performance; poor song choice but she still got the public vote - hopefully the tide has changed. With Ray finally going it is now a level playing field.

I'm so shocked but glad that she got through tonight! Just one more time for her to get through now

I was just thinking a minute ago couldn't TPT's dad vote like a couple of thousand times so Tara could win haha

I think if we could get rid of one of the good (but boring)singers..Shaun or Tricia, then it will be much more exciting and more level. If BOTH of these two stay in tomorrow night, it's going to be a very predictable final

Are you saying the public don't choose the winner?

It would be great if she made the last three. I just hope she gets a decent song again tomorrow!

I don't know how it goes on the final night (I've never really watched FA before). I.e. if it's down to the judges or the public. If it's down to the judges, then it's obvious how they will vote, but if it's the public, then there's hope

I`m sure it was the public last year who voted for the winner.

How ironic they both got through after doing that awful duet.

If it is the public she clearly has every chance particularly as she got voted back tonight and she can do much better than that. I would have thought her supporters are not going to give up voting in a semi-final.

Hello just a quick visit ,just to say that I love Tara on FA

She is fun, sensitive and a real person.
Not afraid to try to live and make mistakes I love that and she also shows that passion in her singing.
Go TARA !!

Not keen on the song again tonight - she really has not had what I think of as a Tara song since 'Will You Love Me Tomorrow' - if she wanted Beatles surely 'Yesterday' would have given her a better chance to be more expressive.

She now needs some sensible advice off the tutors - not to strive for too much just because the judges have been constantly banging on about what good vocalists Tricia and Shaun are every night. If Tara can reproduce 'Jolene', 'Another Suitcase' or the second 'Will You Love Me' that should give her a good chance.

Just heard her talking about her parents turning up - if they do please BBC do not interview them. I don't think it is coincidence that her bottom three came on the night they were there before. Some people will only use it as an excuse to vote anti-posh.

Alternatively, maybe her parents' presence unnerved her and affected her performance.

Well if it did there's another reason for them not to show up but personally I don't think it was an issue, at least not second time around when she was fantastic - unfortunately, that was the last time she really did it for me and I think that has mainly been due to the three songs she has picked since not giving her the chance to show that emotion which is her trump card over the others. In a way it is a shame we can't pick them for her because I think most people understand what she does best - 'Ruby Tuesday' is another song which would have been brilliant for her.

Not good news about the duet. She has shown no aptitude for them at all and why put her with Colin again when clearly there is no 'chemistry' whatsoever? The show would have been better with two solos each and less gabbling to the crowd. Hope everyone has voted on the solo which she did as well as she could.

I cant believe she's still in the competition... why does everyone love her so much? She is clearly not stable.

I said in another thread that I would have preferred them to do two solos. An upbeat and a melody each. I think it would've been better. Mind you out of the two solos tonight, Colin and Tara were great for comedic value. Tricia might as well have sang hers and Shauns on her own.

Be careful. I justgot into trouble for saying something like that. It was regarded as off-topic for an appreciation thread.

Having said that, you have to appreciate her guts for continuing to attempt duets.
