I think there is a worry tonight so get the votes in - no good complaining after the event - there is no guarantee she would be saved by the judges or students. Don't know if it is a good sign but she is number 9 which is my favourite number.

I'm still worried about Tara tonight. Almost all of them have done pretty well by their standards, and the judges have praised many of them to the skies while excessively dissing others in a vote-ensuring way.

Where's that phone ...

I think the judges went way over the top about several performances tonight - they should lock themselves in a room with Stubbs for an hour and see how much talent they think he has. As on the first night I think Colin was the best. Doing an awful song Tara was far better than I expected and at least as good as anyone else but I agree she needs the votes.

I hope people vote for Tara, she's very endearing - somehow it doesn't matter when she hits a bum note, the performance is very touching.

Not a good song for Tara tonight. I hope she gets through, she seems to have the support anyway.

Swing Night tomorrow.

Tara's song is:

These Boots Are Made For Walking - Nancy Sinatra

I love Tara - she amazed me in the jungle prog and now she is doing likewise in Fame academy - her strength is her honesty - she is so honest and I love that about her - that is why every time she performs you can see her vulnerability whether she is trying to show it or not - you know she has been through bad times and it just comes over in her performances - ok she might be out of tune at times but she's real - and that is why I like her.

she is moving because she is herself - I think she just uses her own experiences in her performances.

I think that could be a good song for Tara bearing in mind the subject is "Swing". Can't think of too many others in that genre that would be a good choice for her.

Eh? How is that a swing song? Still, aside from the fact that it really doesn't qualify, I think it's quite a good choice for Tara.

One problem with "Boots" is that it isn't really sung. More spoken. In a way, it's an even worse choice than "The tide is high". She's gone from having great song choices to terrible ones, imo, and I don't like seeing anything that gives the Judges an opportunity to slate her.

I agree - she needs the more vulnerable songs - but the public love her - so lets hope she pulls it off.

What would be a better choice for her, within the swing genre?

Not a good genre for her. I don't think any of the choices would have been particularly good but 'Boots' is probably the best of a bad lot. Sorry to sink to these depths but a nice pair of boots is hardly going to be vote loser.

She reminds me very much of Jane Birkin both vocally and in looks...I recommend Tara fans check out Jane B's stuff, both solo and with Serge Gainsbourg.
