I love that song. I don't think I want to hear Tara singing that. As appealing as she is in her own unique way, that song is just beyond her.

Also recorded by the Shirelles, which is the version I know best.
Wonder if Tara'll play the piano again?

You never know, she could do a marvellous job with it (especially if she does play the piano as well). Let's see what the rehearsals give us first before passing judgement.

I think this is a terrific song for her - hope she slows it down from the original and gets every last drop of emotion from it - no piano please that would only complicate things.

I won't actually pass judgment until I hear her sing it, but I would rather she was not singing this song.

Yes, I would rather she had a go at "As Tears Go By", but we can't have everything ....

I think its a good song for Tara. I think she will be able to get her vulnerable side across well with it.

Just played back a couple of the BBC3 eviction shows - much better in fast forward - and it was interesting that both Tim and Mel clearly wanted Tara to win. It was also quite funny to listen to Shaun last night saying he needed to up his game to stay ahead of the rest - the man is clearly deluding because Tara went past him after 'Jolene'.

Tara to win for me too. Only Tara & Shaun's performances are the ones I look forward to.

Glad Mel is out....how corny is she????

Am watching the streaming. Tara is going through her song with Kevin. There is something so vulnerable about her when she sings slow/sad songs....Not the best voice but something really touches me

I expected her to do this really well but unfortunately, judged by this rehearsal it could be a worrying night. The start of song is very important and it doesn't sound right at all.

She pleaded with the cameraman to cut it-What's the betting they show it on the show tonight? Poor lamb said she doesn't normally do it and there was no one else in the room to blame. Kevin hadn't even noticed she'd done it

Fingers crossed you are right - she needs to avoid the bottom three. If it came to the students she has lost two supporters (Tim and Mel) and I can't see the likes of Shaun, Tricia or Colin supporting her.

omg - owning up to one that could have fizzled away unnoticed. Even funnier !

On another thread, a poster thought Tara had argued or something. because Kevin was heard to say "you've got to clear the air" !

Priceless

Nasty article in the Sunday Mirror about her.

<For 10 tawdry years TPT has turned herself into a national laughing-stock.

But now the joke is wearing almost as thin as she is. And it's hard to raise even a smile while posh "totty" Tara makes an utter fool of herself on the Beeb's reality rubbish Comic Relief Does Fame Academy.

hurmmppphhhh

He has to change his story next Sunday .... hopefully she will be in the final and then that makes him look exactly what he is ... a reporter scraping the bottom of a barrel who, because he cannot actually write ... resorts to bitching about things he knows nothing about

Well well, its the eloquent Kevin O'Sullivan. Makes a lame attempt of taking the p out of Tara for making herself into a laughing stock. This from a man who slags people off for a living.

Tara does make me laugh, but she's also endearing, totally honest and self-deprecating. He wouldn't know anything of those qualities now would he. Too busy mixing up poisonous ink to attack his next victim with
