Did the problem with Trisha's number affect the voting?

At the end of the first show on BBC1 and at the start of the first show on BBC3 Trisha's number was shown as ending in "12" when it should have been "13".

I know they said "it hasn't affected the voting", ie Trisha is still safe, however surely some of her votes went to Tim, whose number did end in "12", thereby helping him to stay out of the bottom 3?

Don't think so, it was only for a few seconds

But it was the main recap of all the performances at the end - surely when most people would start to vote?

I want Tim out. Tricia rules!

They may be able to analyse the voting prior to Tricia performing and see that Tim was already getting a far higher rate of votes than Rowland, Miranda and Angelica (and maybe others). If it wasn't possible to get a vote reading before the incorrect number was shown and they didn't take time to check any change in voting patterns after the correction was announced then they could only have assumed that Tim would have been safe. Given that Tim gave a far better performance than the bottom 3 (but the disadvantage of less voting time) I think it very unlikely he would have been in the bottom three even without some of Tricia's votes. If Rowland was in the bottom two with Tim replacing either Miranda or Angelica then Rowland would still have been voted off.

I don't think there was any conspiracy and don't think it matters in the long run (are there any Rowland fans that think they should get their money back?). However given recent events concerning TV shows and premium rate lines I hope the BBC will be much more carefull in future (all phone line graphics and pricing need to be double checked by more than one person to avoid further mistakes).
