...is that his solo music - which dominated his setlist far more than Beatles songs -
was slated by critics and fans alike for being being too 'experimental' and 'preachy',
the latter term perhaps relating to Harrison's tirades to 'chant the name of the Lord' and so on.

Why is it ironic? Because while Harrison's devotion to Indian mysticism and the like,
as conveyed in the song "Within You Without You" and his early solo albums (especially "Dark Horse"),
made him the 'least trendy' of The Beatles as a solo artist (to the extent that fans ignored him),
Harrison's biggest solo hit single was..."My Sweet Lord", itself was very...spiritual!

And Harrison did organise "The Concert For Bangladesh", featuring Ravi Shankar,
which was a huge commercial success, and precursor to "Live Aid"!

Do any Beatles fan here have any appreciation for Harrison's solo output?
If so, what's your take on it, overall, and which of his albums/singles stand out for you?

My take is...
Favourite '70s Album: "All Things Must Pass"
Favourite '80s Album: "Cloud Nine"
Most Under-rated '70s Album: "Dark Horse", "George Harrison"
Most Under-rated '80s Album: "Gone Troppo"

Favourite '70s Single: "My Sweet Lord"
Favourite '80s Single: "Got My Mind Set On You"
